Great location, old beds! Very helpful and friendly staff. We got a deluxe queen room with a partial view of ocean and it was nice sleeping with the windows open. The fireplace was a nice touch. There was plenty of parking. The room was very clean. They are very dog friendly. The negatives are beds were old. You could hear someone move at night and one bed was sagging on one side. It was still somewhat comfortable to sleep in. The furnishing are old and need to be changed out. The bathroom was okay just cramped. They only had a small refrigerator and no microwave. The windows coverings were old and needed changing as well. The pool was small and we didn’t enter since we had the beach just 5 mins away. The breakfast was just muffins, apple, Jimmy dean breakfast sandwich and quaker oatmeal instant packs. The drinks were coffee, teas, Orange juice from concentrate and water. They had one microwave and a 4 slice toaster in the lobby area, Ice machine and soda snack machines. There are no Elevators or air conditioners but with the sea breeze it’s not needed. The property is next to a Mexican restaurant and a walk away from a Beautiful beach. The price was reasonable for the time of year and the location. The walk to the parking lot in the back was not lit because an exterior light was out. Overall it was okay but with some maintenance and new beds/ furnishings it would have been wonderful based on the location and friendly staff.

Great little getaway Really enjoyed our stay at the Morgan. We arrived a bit early and the gentleman at the front desk gave us a call when the room was ready, giving us a chance to walk around the area and down to the headlands. We were able to sit down their until the room was ready. Pretty cool. Room was excellent considering I've paid more for similar accomodations is Sacramento and Natomas. The fireplace in the room was a nice addition. We were close enough to hear the surf and could almost see the ocean. Things were clean and organized. Carpets are nearing the ends of their lives, but you don't sleep on them... Food options are plentiful, not on site, but very close. Still under Covid rules, so breakfast was prepackaged and decent. Service was great, from our checkin to checkout, staff was pleasant and helpful. Super close to Cambria and Hearst Castle (reopening in several months...). San Simeon Beach was nice and looked like a great spot to hang out, especially with all of the trees in the area. We will definitely be back. A great stay from start to finish.

Thank you A stay at the Morgan is a visit with your grandma. Older rooms (think 30+) plenty clean, relaxed, largish rooms. Take the stairs. No air, windows open. Deal with it sonny. Would I stay again, yes ma’am. And finish those Brussels sprouts.

Weekend getaway We checked and immediately noticed a very musty smell. The room itself is very old and in need of remodeling as are all of the furnishings. The curtains have holes in them. The little mini fridge looks like it’s about 30 years old. There was a chip on the TV screen and I called right away to let them know. The beds are comfortable. The beddings are clean. It’s just a old property in need of a facelift. Oh and beware the room had no AC. That could be brutal during summer months. We stay in the area a lot but this is our first time here. I have to say I’m a bit disappointed.

Beautiful room with a view in San Simeon We have visited San Simeon numerous times. This visit we stayed at The Morgan. We were greeted by Vickie at check in who was super. I had communicated when booking with Marina who was beyond helpful and attentive. She assisted to get us an Ocean view which we really wanted. It was a lovely stay, quiet and very restful. The hotel is very aesthetic in the rooms and lobby etc. The setting of the outdoor pool was very inviting to sit and catch some lovely Central CA sunshine. I will be recommending to many, and will visit again ourselves soon. Thank you Lisa Hunter
