Rude management and filthy rooms Stay far away from this place. My husband travels a lot for work and always chooses choice hotels. We were excited that they had a large room with 4 beds that we all could share. First of all they charged us for our room 72 prior to arrival stating it was because there was a big event in town. No where on the website or confirmation said this would happen . Room was filthy, holes in the ceiling, one of the showers didn’t have hot water, chairs were ripped out underneath, I could go on and on. To top it off, the manager was very rude and condescending.

Run away! Run away! Stay somewhere else!! The staff were friendly, but they appeared to be fighting an uphill battle to make visitors comfortable in horrible circumstances. Our room was tiny and cramped — there was barely enough room to walk around the bed. The in-room air conditioner's thermostat was broken, so we had two choices of temperature — "on" (meaning freezing) or "off" (meaning swelteringly hot). The bathroom had a round toilet bowl with an oblong seat, which meant that some of the porcelain was exposed to anyone trying to sit on it — unbelievably unsanitary! But perhaps we were the lucky ones; our neighbor complained that his toilet wasn't working at all. Our room had one small window that faced another interior wall, so it was impossible to tell whether it was day or night. Not that that mattered much, as we had to keep the curtain closed lest someone walking by look right in on us. Peeling paint. Loose electrical outlets. This is one of the creepiest motels I've ever stayed in... and that's saying a lot. It made the Bates Motel seem like a palace. This place doesn't need updating — it needs to be razed. Shame on the Rodeway Inn chain for even keeping this place open and putting their name on it.

Serviceable for single night The property is older and much smaller than today's standards, with close quarters in both room and bathrooms (the latter of which appear to have been renovated recently). Room & bed comfort was average, furnishings & condition thereof was also average. Safety and security was poor; no tertiary locking mechanism (although the remnants of a chain lock were still on the back of the door), non functioning safe that you are still charged a fee for & no fire suppression in the room, just a residential smoke detector clearly not interconnected with the rest of the building (it's also clear that several people are using this property as a residence). HVAC unit is placed so ridiculously high on the wall that one needs to stand on a chair to make temperature adjustments. Overall an acceptable choice for a single night solo trip at one of the lowest price points in the area.

Terrible customer service. Unhelpful management. Most pathetic customer service. Wouldn’t cancel the second day of stay because it was “against policy” only after I was told this wouldn’t be a problem. They could provide no documentation that this was the case. Only that it was a policy “by the owners” who couldn’t be reached. No solution was offered other than “too bad I’m not willing to help. I just do what I’m told”. Ownership couldn’t be reached. Management had no point of contact, no business card and no name tag. He even stated “look, we’re a budget hotel. We don’t have that stuff” I followed up with Choice Hotels. They spoke on my behalf regarding this emergency situation. The hotel was still not accommodating. Choice said it was an owner and management discretionary decision. They opted to not be helpful in any way. The room was satisfactory for what it was. The 2nd shift was pleasant and helpful. But once this location has your money all bets are off. They do not have any regulatory standards and do not help their clientele in any meaningful way. Customers beware.
