DON'T DO IT... SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE Where to start on this review... First off Location is prime... but I didn't want to give anything positive to this review as IT IS A PLACE TO AVOID. I did not have much choice in my stay as I was there for a business event, so I stayed in the hotel / my room MINIMALLY. Let me start with the dismissive front desk staff (I say front desk specifically because the bartenders, and other staff for breakfast were great). When we first got to check in, there was a gentleman behind us that demanded to change rooms as there were bugs in his bed. My co workers and I were concerned but the front desk said that there were no bugs, they changed his room out of courtesy. I did inspect my bed and it was fine, but that was the least of my worries. The room was MUGGY AND DAMP. I put my clothes away but had an article of clothing I left on my bed while I went out for dinner. Came back to it being totally damp. I asked Adam at the front desk if there was a leak in the building because ALL our rooms were like this. He told me that is was because of steam from my shower (mind I had not even used the restroom yet, so being dismissed like that was not professional). The dampness of the room left all my clothes smelling mildewy by the time I checked out. I mistakenly walked from the bedroom into the front room of the suite and carpet felt gross. It is dirty... and it FEELS equally so. I have included some pictures. I was constantly coughing and sneezing due to the dustiness and dampness in the room. I was so happy to leave. The front desk did NOTHING to address issues regarding the cleanliness of the hotel or the moisture problem they had. And hearing their tone with other clients definitely make it clear customer service is not something practiced well here.

Management should be ashamed I am a Hilton Diamond member. This hotel is one of the worst I’ve ever stayed in. The room was filthy. It doesn’t appear housekeeping vacuumed. The curtains are torn. I’ve seen better furniture at yard sales. I checked in and went to my room. It was occupied by other guests. When I finally made it to a room that wasn’t occupied by other guests, the door to the adjoining room was open and not secured. I moved a chair in front of the door for extra security measures. This place is just gross. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here.

Should Take A Wrecking Ball to it My hotel room was not ready until 1 1/2 hours after check-in time of 4pm. We were there for a conference for special needs kids and waiting the extra time to get our room was very difficult. The room was filthy!! The tub and sink were rusty! The carpet was filthy and the towels had holes in them. The ice machines were all down. This was by far the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed at. Avoid this hotel at all costs!!

Lobby and breakfast great, but rooms need attention My family loves Embassy Suites, and have stayed at several in different areas. Our check in process at the Santa Ana location was very good...the gentleman who helped us was very friendly and efficient. The recently renovated lobby is beautiful and comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding, as always. The location was perfect for us, as we were there for a youth basketball sports event. The rooms, however, definitely need some attention. They are outdated and repairs are needed. A portion of the baseboard in the bathroom had pulled away from the wall, which was rusty, and a sand-like substance came out all over the bathroom floor. The AC in our room did work very well either.

Will not be coming back I am a Lifetime Diamond with Hilton, spending over 1,000 nights at different Hilton branded hotels. This was one of the worst. The check-in clerk was rude. Everything in the hotel is outdated. The outlets in my room were in the base of old lamps, and the outlets didn't work. There were no accessible wall outlets in my bedroom, so I pulled out a nightstand and used the wall outlet behind it. The pita chips offered during the evening reception were stale and not edible. I ordered a pizza from the restaurant and it was overcooked, the dough so tough that I ate the middle of the pizza and left the rest. During breakfast, there was only one coffee machine, and no coffee cups, only paper cups. Following checkout, I did not received a receipt. I have made two attempts to call the hotel and ask for the receipt, but I was placed on hold for about ten minutes and then their system told me to try again later. This was my second stay at this hotel. I will not be back.
