Over the top! The El Encanto is not only a beautiful hotel - it as a serene experience. We absolutely loved every aspect. It is worth every penny!

Best place to stay in Santa Barbara We had a wonderful stay here. My husband and I were traveling from NorCal to SoCal for a honeymoon trip. A friend who is from Santa Barbara recommended El Encanto, telling us it's the best place to stay in Santa Barbara - we certainly agree after staying here! The staff is very attending and welcoming. They left a wine bottle in our room as a honeymoon present, which was a very sweet gesture. The property is beautiful and well-maintained -- beautiful gardens with native California plants. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We also had high tea in the dining room, which was delicious and we highly recommend it! We enjoyed going to see the Santa Barbara mission (very close to the hotel) and the beach - getting an Uber from the hotel was very easy and fast.

You can do better Overall I would never recommend this hotel to anyone I know. The pool is too small for the amount of guests you have. The steam room was broken. Coming off of getting married in a very stressful way as we had to cancel and move our wedding last minute, all we wanted was a relaxing stay and it was far from that.

Two day respit We ended a 10 day California Coastal vacation with two days at El Encanto to relax. We had a lovely room with two terraces, which proved beneficial as there were many families staying at the resort so the pool was very crowded and the common areas a bit noisy from time to time (avoid early morning breakfast at the restaurant and order room service if you want peace and quiet sipping your early morning coffee!) Dinner on the terrace was magical, the food excellent and staff attentive and friendly. A nice bit of live music added to the ambience. We also enjoyed use of e-bikes to tour around Santa Barbara.
