It was fine The room itself was clean and updated. The bedding was crisp, there was plenty of lighting, and there is a wireless cell phone charger. There was plenty of space. We had a balcony, too. However, the courtyard area is being renovated (maybe?) and the pool and various areas are fenced off making the view uninspiring. There wasn't sufficient parking close to our room and we had to walk from another part of the lot. As mentioned by many people, there is no breakfast. One particularly disturbing feature was the block windows in the bathroom, which were high but had no coverings and were not frosted. Anyone walking by outside who is taller than 6'0 can see right into the bathroom.

Adios, 'Best?' Western! Used to be a classic SB midrange hotel, now not so much. I've stayed here over 40 years, and this was my last visit. New owners have ruined what was a pleasant place to stay. They got rid of the restaurant in an attempt to sell the building, and when that failed they're trying to regroup, find a new sucker to lease the space, but in the meantime they're not offering anything in its stead. Water pressure was a joke, barely enough to shower with, let alone use the tub! Internet dropped out constantly, so forget having a Zoom call. Pools were cordoned off for some reason during our stay, making the courtyard look like a construction site.

Good Value It's about what you would expect from a Best Western. Rooms are clean. Good water pressure. Decent room size. Plenty of free parking with easy access to main road and freeway. Coffee maker and fridge in room. A couple of EV chargers that were available most of the time. No free breakfast, just coffee and tea in the lobby. Friendly staff. Pool and hot tub.

Great spot in Santa Barbara Great location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. We were there with a large group for a youth sports tournament. The hotel staff was very accommodating, putting our 10 rooms very close to each other. Only downside was no breakfast was available because of some remodeling going on.

Under renovartion and expensive This is my second time staying here. Renovations have freshened up the rooms . They are clean very, modern, maybe a bit out of context with the exterior. Given the on going renovations on pool area was closed, there was no breakfast and the room safe was non functional. The location (and weekend) means the prices high and I did not feel it was good value.
