Saw the negative reviews, had to set things right Needed room close to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara CA. This one has kitchenette, full fridge, microwave, stove, kitchen utensils on request, even a toaster if you need. Free parking. 10 min. drive from anywhere in Santa Barbara. Clean. Comfortable bed. Free WiFi. Best of all, wonderful staff, especially Sara. Very friendly and helpful. What's not to like? The grab and go breakfast is just that. Small muffins, granola bars, and coffee. Good luck to you!

Amazing stay! We came to stay at the Extended Stay our go to place. We came to town to help our son get settled in for UCSB witch is a short distance from the hotel. The hotel was clean, the rooms were clean and smelled fresh. The staff and manager was friendly as always and made our stay amazing with some local restaurant and activity recommendations. It’s disappointing to see a few bad reviews here because we have had nothing but good experiences at this property.

“Extended Care” per homeless residents This hotel has many homeless people staying there. They seem to be ailing, in poor health. They also allow their pets. Not a suitable hotel for singles, couples or families. Dirty and unsafe. I suppose this is Santa Barbara’s way of dealing with the homeless problem.

Wonderful, affordable Very satisfied with the room, amenities and staff (front desk), who are very helpful, friendly and considerate. The property is quiet and well maintained. Easy on/off the 101. It is not a “suite” with separate bedroom – it’s like a typical motel room; except the cleaning/linens are not done daily. It has a well-functioning kitchen. You need to get the utensils, dishes, etc. by request after arrival, which no surprise (maybe request they put them there before arrival?) ). The the rates are reasonable for Santa Barbara, being the second least expensive in Santa Barbara/Goleta. (but I don’t do Motel 5 +1) Close to gas stations, Starbucks, In N Out Burgers and ½ mile from small strip shopping with Vons super market, coffee house with food, and shops; plus Cody's Restaurant (has a nice outdoor patio – rated $$ - $$$ AmericanCafe). There’s many 5 star ratings that provide more positive insights, and with whom I agree. The 1 star ratings possibly happened, but I doubt the compaints are valid. We experienced none of that nonsense; there’s always some complainers.

Absolutely Horrible, Cindy is extremely rude Rooms are dated and worn down. Beds are firm and very uncomfortable. Walls are very thin, can hear neighbors talking and farting. Fire alarms went off randomly. The manager named Cindy is the rudest employee at any hotel I’ve experienced in my four decades of travel in two star to five star venues. She must hat her job or hate people or both. Stayed here to organize business and important meetings while our new house was being completed. Big Mistake.
