Ocean View Hotel

Clean and kind hotel! We just left Ocean View Hotel and had an amazing stay! It was a very last minute booking, so we weren’t expecting much, but we were beyond pleasantly surprised. It was easy to get to from Ocean Avenue and the valet area was clean and covered. We were able to check in about 1.5 hours early to our room and David and Heidi even helped us stay an extra hour after checkout time, as well. The room was spotless and filled with so many extras that I haven’t seen in a while since COVID (toothbrush kit, shave kit, makeup remover wipes, etc.). The air worked well and it wasn’t noisy at all on the interior of the hotel. You cannot beat the location of the hotel-it was about a three minute walk to hotel, which was great for our little kids. There are tons of restaurants in the area ranging from $4 slices of pizza and $100 per person fine dining. The area was safe and clean, so we felt very comfortable walking around. The whole hotel staff from the valet to housekeeping to the front desk were extremely kind and helpful. We will stay again!

Two nights in Santa Monica, room with a view Nice ocean view hotel, great rooms including amenities, not too large but comfortable. And in our case we had a beach view room with a balcony. Small and nice hotel, valet parking available. Great restaurants nearby. Access to a beautiful gym and bike available for free.

One night layover with family/kids Hotel location was great and the overall room was perfectly fine for what we needed for a one night stay. I would only ask for better water pressure in the bathroom and a bit better WiFi speed. Front desk service at check in was also great. Thanks!

Great spot to start our trip - would highly recommend Great first night of our trip before heading up the coast. The Ocean View is perfect for your needs, right on the beach so you wake to views of the Pacific and it's a very comfortable bed. Great toiletries with extras like a shower mitt that just make a bit of difference. We had to wait a little to check in but the staff were super friendly and nice. We had a smaller balcony than last year if I had to make any criticism at all (was a bit tight to get onto) but love that we have this as our first stop in California! Room is always impeccably clean and comfortable and good value for Santa Monica. Thanks again for a great start to our trip.

Great Experience The Ocean View Hotel provided us a great experience during our stay over New Years. The accommodations were nice and the staff was absolutely amazing! I can't say enough about the staff starting with Joy the moment we checked in, she was very pleasant, professional and accommodating. Joy went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Additionally, I mentioned to Joy that it was my wife's birthday on New Year's day and she arranged a birthday surprise with the Manager Ashley for my wife, so when we returned to the room on New Year's day, there was a flower arrangement, candy and a card signed by the entire front desk staff to include Ashley Christian, Heidi, Eduardo and Joy. This was an incredibly nice gesture that put my wife over the moon, that I appreciated immensely! In addition to the quality customer service from Joy, I have to give a special shout out to Heidi for being so helpful and accommodating during our search for transportation on New Year's Eve which was very challenging to say the least. Ultimately we made to our destination thanks to Heidi. Although Ocean View Hotel doesn't have a restaurant, we were able to eat at their sister hotel location which included a 20% discount. I highly recommend the Ocean View Hotel in Santa Monica if you are visiting the LA area. I will forever be a fan of the Ocean View Hotel and will definitely rebook again the next time we're in the LA area.
