Top notch hospitality in Sao Paulo Amongst the best hotels in Sao Paulo. Service is second to none. So is cleanliness. Food and beverage services are exquisite, specially the evening spread in the lounge. Luxurious and well-appointed facilities, including a very well-equipped fitness center, a fully staffed spa and two pools, one indoor and another outdoor. The latter was out of service due to renovations during my stay, which greatly disappointed me. But after further thought I realized it was my fault for not checking the fine print at Hyatt's website. I also had an issue the climatization of my suite and within five minutes the night manager, Michele, sent an HVAC professional crew to fix the problem. It was 10 pm! Fantastic response. Other properties would would have told me to wait until the morning. Get ready to be pampered at this hotel. Other wonderful staff include F&B manager Ezequiel, lounge attendant Vitoria and the day manager Luci. The GM also reached out to me after my departure to follow-up on the issue of the outdoor pool closure, which was much appreciated. The Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo cares greatly about their guests and puts them first.

This is what hospitality should be like We had an excellent stay at the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo. The hotel is located in a safe neighborhood in the business district. My wife and I booked a base room with the Hyatt Privé rate and informed the hotel that we were celebrating a special occasion. As with most Privé bookings, the hotel upgraded us shortly after booking. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a Grand Suite instead of just one category up. We are not sure if it was because of the special occasion or because we were both Globalists members. Either way, we were very appreciative of this gesture, since upgrades to suites at the time of booking has an opportunity cost for the hotel. After an overnight red-eye flight, we arrived at the hotel at 10AM. We were promptly checked-in by Gabriella, who was apologetic that our room was not ready for another 15 minutes and offered us complimentary breakfast at the buffet while we waited for our room. The Grand Suite was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating options and various tables. The bathroom offers a walk-in shower as well as an independent bathtub that comes close to the size of a soaking tub in volume. The bedroom was the highlight of it all: it extends out of the main building, and the floor-to-ceiling windows provided a full 180-degree view of the surrounding area. The hotel offers a free daily breakfast buffet for Globalist members/Privé bookings with a wide variety of options, including hot food (eggs, sausages, potatoes, etc), fresh fruits (watermelon, papaya, passion fruit, etc), cheeses, cold cuts, pastries, breads, freshly squeezed juices, yogurts, and more. Everything was fresh and delicious. The included $100 USD property credit from the Hyatt Privé rate was enough to cover our in-room dining dinner for two nights. We had "Wagyu beef" and "Rib eye" steak on the first night, and "Crispy namorado fish" and "Beef hamburger" on the second night. We also ordered the sugar-free chocolate mousse dessert on both nights. The service was prompt, the presentation of the food was good, and the food itself was very tasty. As Globalist members, we have access to the club lounge which was open from 5PM to 11PM. There was a fair selection of hor d'oeuvres and desserts, and a bar. We tried a lot of the food items and they were delicious. The hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool. We used the indoor pool, which was empty when we went in the evening. The pool requires a reservation and they allow up to 8 people in the pool at a time. We appreciated that the towels were individually wrapped in plastic bags to ensure cleanliness. We went down to the front desk to ask for recommendations for nearby places of interest, and Barbara went above and beyond to help us! She showed us some options for us to explore, and when we asked for suggestions for souvenirs and local snacks to bring home from Brazil, she went out of her way to research and compiled a typed summary of various options we could get, with pictures too! I cannot finish this review without mentioning the resident cat of the hotel! Apparently this cat found itself a home in the hotel after it wandered in one day and was given food. The cat loves the sofa and hangs out sun tanning a lot during the day. Overall we had a spectacular time at the Grand Hyatt Sao Paolo and would highly recommend it to anyone who visits the city.

All in all a good experience The Grand Hyatt is located next to Ponte Estaiada Octávio Frias de Oliveira. Check in procedure was friendly and quick. I stayed in this hotel for one night only and booked a room with club acess. Upon my arrival the cocktail hour in the club lounge was already over and not even non alcoholic drinks were offered and if so, nobody gave me a hint. Neverthelss I had a spacious room on their top floor with a nice view of the city! The breakfast selection was not too various, but ok for me. Next time when back in São Paulo I definetly would choose this hotel again in the future!
