Good stay Our soccer team stayed here during a tournament back in April. We all had a great time. The hotel is not luxurious by any means, but the location on the beach and the pools were all a big plus. Our rooms was spacious with a kitchenette that was useful. It is on the pricey side for a 3 star, but you pay for the beachfront location and pricing in Florida is up 38% from 2019 in 2021 because of Covid. My one complaint is that the wifi is really spotty and was pretty much useless for my daughter trying to zoom for school on her ipad. The location is also convenient for restaurants in the area, 5 minutes across the bridge from downtown Sarasota, and 5 minutes from St. Armand, where there are a number of stores and restaurants.

Great hotel, clean rooms and great service! The hotel is great including all the employees from the Tiki Bar to the Front desk! Jason, the manager has been awesome and managed every single detail to have a fantastic stay! Breakfast place with a beautiful beach view is a must to start the day!

Couples getaway Lido Beach Resort is a nice facility but we would choose someplace else next time. Two pools, one is adults only but that definitely wasn't enforced while we were there. There is a Tiki Bar by the pool but it closes at 8pm while the pool area remains open til 10pm-so no fun night life on the pool deck. Also, no music on the pool deck. Music at the tiki bar playing quietly but even water parks have tropical tunes going for ambiance. I'm not sure if they're shorthanded like most places, but the pool deck area was strewn with trash and wet towels all three days. It seems like there should be someone that checks the area hourly and picks up trash and wet towels. Skip the restaurant on the 8th floor. No seasoning on the food and it wasn't quite made to the menu description- and the manager on shift the night we were there couldn't care less when there was an issue with part of our order not being brought to the table. She actually shrugged her shoulders. We did have the unfortunate incident of a lightning strike on our last night that killed the AC. It was a rough night but we were fully comped for the room so the did make the effort to "make it right". There's no oven In the unit and our microwave didn't work. That kinda sucked because we would have liked to heat our leftovers but the tiki bar food was good. Most of the staff were great. Our room was $800+ per night after all the taxes/fees/room rate but I don't feel like this is $800+ a night worth of "resort quality" living.

Worst resort stay ever. This is my second time staying and it has gotten bad. Major construction taking place, the lobby is completely shut down, no mentioning of this when booking. Because of the shut down all parking is valet and it’s a mess, they loss my keys 3 times and waiting forever. The room is dirty we are in a 2 bedroom with living room all the furniture is stained, you can’t walk on the floor with your socks, they turn black. I was in the room while the cleaning lady was cleaning, never touched the floor, wiped nothing down. Power went out from the weakest storm, once it returned we had no Air conditioning. Maintenance came to look at it and replaced they Air filters (why?) then told us that the water in the unit got hot and would take 2 hours to cool down and then we would have cold air again (what water?) this was at 6:30PM and at 8:00AM it’s still 82 in our room. Find somewhere to stay.

Construction/Creepy Maintenance Man First of all, when we got there, they were doing construction on the beach and the beach was closed. We were not made aware of this before booking. We couldn’t even use the beach in front of the hotel and one day we actually had to drive down to one of their sister resorts to use the beach. So we paid the standard rate, but weren’t even able to use the beach on the property. One afternoon, my husband and I were in the hotel room getting ready to head to dinner, and all of the sudden a maintenance man unlocks our door and starts coming into our room WITHOUT KNOCKING. So I throw my clothes on and go to the door to ask him what he’s doing and he says he got a call about a broken toilet. We never called about any maintenance issues, and even if he was at the wrong room, why would you go into someone’s room without even knocking or making yourself known whatsoever? We mentioned this to the front desk staff, but they hardly even apologized. Needless to say, we will not be back.
