Terrible - dated hotel. I got this hotel through Expedia. It is way past its prime—dark and dated rooms and the hot tub did not work. There is another hotel close by so we opted out of this one and into the bright and beautiful one down the street for the same price. Expedia could only refund one day. My recommendation is to avoid both Expedia and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Scottsdale - Old Town.

Amazing staff, clean and comfy! I’m a stickler for a good bed and holiday inn has always met that standard. Check in with Anthony was great! Friendly, and informative. Room was spacious and clean, safe area and close to everything. It was only a one night stay to visit family but I plan to stay everytime I’m there.

Great staff attitude starts us off liking the place Excellent check-in experience and professional care and consideration by front desk staff, particularly Janai (sp?). Always very customer service oriented and quick. Sad to say but many other front desk personnel on this trip (hotels in 3 cities) were less than engaged, failing to make eye contact much, or joyfully responding to our queries. This Holiday Inn & Suites was exemplary and Janai was no small part of our great experience. Two dings, though: 1. Only oranges at breakfast? No apples I can understand maybe (out of season) but no bananas even? 2. Suite was large, well furnished, with great bed/pillows but the baño was not well laid out - it’s door when open was in way of sitting on toilet comfortably.

Good, but... I stayed at the hotel for two nights earlier this month. All was fine except when I saw an $8.36 charge to my credit card a few days after check-out. I called the hotel and the clerk I was transferred to said it’s a per-room parking fee. Well, since I did not have a car, I questioned her why I needed to pay it. She just reiterated that all guests pay a parking fee regardless of whether they have a car or not. When I said that didn’t sound right, she abruptly hung up on me. An otherwise nice stay was marred by a weird, undisclosed policy, as well as a rude clerk. I won't be returning.

Old meets new! *** older hotel that has been remodeled nicely. We loved this adorable hotel. Clean. Organized. Great staff. Beautiful pool area. Decent breakfast. Loved the balcony in our room overlooking pool area! Slept with patio door open and woke up to birds chirping outside. Love sink is outside of toilet shower area. Easily could fit family of 6 in 1 room. We'll be back! Free parking too!
