DO NOT STAY HERE Booked oceanfront hotel room in main lodge months ago. Was told 2 weeks before arrival that reservation was randomly cancelled via email with no explanation. Had to call to find out why. Said they booked entire lodge for an event so therefore cancelled everyone else’s reservations. Moved us to a cabin in the woods where we had to hike with three suitcases with a dangerous path. I’ve never experienced anything like this for $600 a night. No communication, cabin is old, tons of bugs. Would rather stay at a Hilton garden inn. Called and emailed multiple times. No response. Picture of how far I had to hike up three suitcases, all weighing 50 lbs. my mom is elderly, basically disabled. They didn’t care.

The Sea Ranch lodge We took a tour of the Lodge and had a drink with our Cal friends. A very nice place to stay have a drink and have dinner. They also have a nice gift shop and great views. They also have nice trails to walk at the nice resort

Avoid the Hines House at all cost. Avoid the Hines House at the Sea Ranch Lodge. Also customer service related to reservations and staying at the Sea Ranch Lodge is horrible. I received an email asking about my stay. I replied but got no response back. I’m not sure where to start regarding my stay at Sea Ranch. In summary my partner and I both feel it was a very poor experience. We booked the Hines House based on the information provided on the Sea Ranch Lodge website. Here’s what the website doesn’t share: 1) The Hines House is located a mile away from the actual lodge, in a remote wooden area, and barely has an ocean view. 2) The Hines House looks NOTHING like the photos in the website. 3) I am a sensible and rational adult so I don’t say this lightly…the Hines House is very creepy. There are no window shades. Anyone can walk up to look into the house and the inhabitants would never know if anyone is outside. Also, I’ve attached some photos from the Hines House. I especially liked the clay depiction of a mutilated body in the bedroom, and the interesting collection of dolls and pictures on the walls. We booked the Hines House for three nights but left after the first evening. We asked for a partial refund but was told that was not an option. Needless to say we are not going to be recommending the Sea Ranch Lodge to any of friends. I would recommend remodeling the interior, saging the hell out of that place (literally) and making it clear on the Sea Ranch website what people are in store for.

So-so Th new rooms were exceptional. We have stayed at Sea Ranch many times so we were very impressed with the remodel. Unfortunately, getting into the room was quite an ordeal. Our room became available after and only when inquired one more time at 420. It would have fine had we been able to get a cocktail at the bar, but the bar was not even open until 4. I know they are working out kinks, but rather disappointing.

The Sea Ranch Lodge As It was Intended This is a beautiful, quiet setting with each room overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The Lodge has recently gone through a complete renovation and it shows. In-room coffee is provided in the form of fresh ground locally sourced coffee in a pour over carafe. The main restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We were there on a Wednesday and found they offered a great substitute. They offer a dinner for two at very reasonable prices. The night we were there the offers were a Mary's Roasted Chicken Breast, Roasted Salmon, Steak or a vegetarian selection. Dinner included roasted vegetables, a salad, olives and bread. All was delivered to the room in a cute crate, along with silver ware and plates so you could share the meal while overlooking the ocean. And, each room was furnished with a nice bottle of Rose', so it completed the meal. Staff is attentive and it was just a great one-night stay.
