Very nice and close to everything. What a pleasant surprise this place was. Quiet rooms with decent beds. Roomy and clean. Everything worked. Breakfast was adequate for a good start to the day. Lots of free parking which was very nice as well. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Will NOT stay here again! The hotel is in a good location. We definitely did not feel like we had to worry about someone breaking into our vehicle. Hotel is close to Houston Space Center and Kemah Boardwalk. Upon walking in, the hotel had a combination smell of vomit, urine, wet dogs, smoke, chemicals & mold/mildew. They put us in a room and the smell was worse so we requested to move rooms. The second room still has a smell, but wasn’t as strong as the first room. I had congestion immediately. In our room: White mold was under the bathroom countertop. The bathtub faucet looked like it was about to fall off and it was leaking water. The cover for the A/C unit was not on properly. They had hair in the bathroom sink like of it was not cleaned. The counters were dirty. The chairs in the room were filthy and had animal hair all over them with holes. The bed frame was broken. They had white powder looking stuff on the carpet in one area. The room door did not close all the way. Seemed like easy access for someone to break-in if wanted. Front desk: The majority of the time, they had a sign up stating that the front desk clerk was in the laundry room and the sign provided a number for us to calm if we needed assistance. “Complimentary” breakfast: Includes cereal, oatmeal, muffins & bread. Pool: The pool was filthy. Green water. Tree branches in the pool.

Rude Manager will ruin you family vacation What started out as a pleasant experience over the phone, ended in a nightmare when we arrived. I called to ask about a few amenities and spoke with Sergio. He suggested I book over the phone with him and said he would put the rooms next to each other and leave a note that we needed to check in early. His awesome customer service assured me that this was the perfect hotel. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk was overly rude when I told her we were here to check in. She bit my head off and said she could not check us in early. She didn't bother to try to pull up the reservation and cut her eyes a few times. I asked for a manager and she said there was not one available.i asked her to call one, when she did, the lady on the phone immediately got defensive and assured me the lady at the front desk did not have an attitude. But she was not there to witness it. She told me she was on her way. She told me they did not have rooms available until 3 because of a large group that was there. I told her what was told to me by Sergio and she rolled her eyes. She went ahead and checked us in and repeatedly slammed my card or whatever needed to be handed to me on the desk. She kept sighing and acting like me and my family were an inconvenience. I asked her after the next time she sighed and slammed the paperwork on the desk, would she like us to leave. She replied " I mean I can cancel it if you want" I told her she is catching an attitude with me for no reason. When we walked off to get a cart for the luggage her and the lady from the front desk started talking about my family in Spanish, not knowing I am fluent in Spanish as well. Very unprofessional !! We only stayed because the kids were exhausted from an 8 hour drive. When we got to the room it was sitting at 80 degrees which let me know it had been vacant. My sister's room reeked of dog urine and feces. I guess she thought this was okay because my sister had a cat. Every time we asked for pool tiles or extra blankets for the concrete like sofa beds, she had an attitude but was extremely nice to the Hispanic or Caucasian guest that came up to her. We checked out on the second day and decided to stay at a friendlier hotel down the street. The customer service there was phenomenal and the rooms were cool and clean for the same rate. My kids kept getting locked in the bathroom that had no lock on it. The ice machine was full of mold and the outside doors that required a key did not work. Don't waste your time or money here, they obviously don't like a certain kind here and will take their frustrations with lack of training on their end out on guest. I'll attach the photos of the ice machine, eye sores, and safety issues on the other review so that you won't think I am lying.

Avoid Avoid Avoid Paid for 2 nights and reserved telling them we had pets. Upon check in there is a huge sign saying pets welcome and once checked into our room, the door on the inside was scratched up. To avoid being charged this fee. We informed the front desk it was scratched up when we checked in. They told us they purposely put us in that room because those are pet friendly and have already been scratched. Ok. The room smelled, but as an older hotel that’s to be expected. Also no deadbolt on door if you are a single woman this is a red flag. The pool was also not properly secure when we went to swim this morning, so please watch your children/ the gate was wide open. Went to breakfast, breakfast is provided but it is a pretty basic breakfast. Nothing hot. All cereal and breads. No OJ (they did have sunny D or a generic sunny D) . While at the Kemah boardwalk with my son, I got a call that my dog was barking and per policy we must come to take care of dog. We left Kemah boardwalk and headed that way to take care of the dog. Upon arrival my dog was not barking, so I took a video to show. A man came out of one of the rooms and advised me that he had been working in room 211 and heard her whining and in order to comfort her had gone to talk to her. So obviously that would make her bark if it’s a stranger. At any rate the dog had calmed down from either whining or barking. I messaged the person from the hotel who had messaged me about the dog to begin with and texted this: “I’m here now. She wasn’t barking when I got here. The guy working down the hall came out when he saw me. He said she was whining so he came to door to calm her down. Well he just made her mad. Who else complained because there is nobody else here other than a loud family with lots of children making just as much noise. And the worker isn’t a resident here. He showed me the video and she was whining, but if any stranger comes up to the door of course she’s going to bark.” About 3 minutes later the person who texted me about the dog came up banging on the door demanding entry because I was hiding something and wanted to see damage to the room or whatever else she thought was going on. Come to find out she is the owner and the maintenance guy working was her husband and she was mad apparently because that was her husband I talked about in the above text I sent her. I told her no I didn’t have to let her in and she began banging on the door saying she was going to call the police _‍♂️ on me and she had the right to enter at anytime. She kept screaming about the police and demanding entry. All over the above text message. My 8 year old was terrified of this strange angry person demanding in and saying she was going to call the police. She was screaming. It was bizarre. She was demanding over and over I let in. I let her in, and she said OH YOU HAVE TWO DOGS. Well it’s not my fault when we made reservations you didn’t mark it right and then she demanded we vacate the property and on her way out she yelled that she would charge me for the door damage anyways that we had already told them about when we checked in. She immediately charged the 50 dollars to the card. My 8 year old was terrified, thinking police were coming to get his mom and cried in the car. I have never been treated this way. I have booked countless Airbnb’s and hotels. Just left New Braunfels La Quinta for a week and had a wonderful experience. Stay somewhere else in the area, also filed a complaint with the BBB Our trip to the boardwalk over shadowed by this experience. They are not pet or family friendly. I would recommend staying anywhere else. I feel most terrible my son had to experience such a raging angry woman all over a text message about a dog. I am single mom and now that we have been evicted we are out a hotel fee and the 50 for the door fee, so we have to cut our vacation short. Here are pics and also the door.

Choose Somewhere Else! Easy to book but the room smelled like dog. The remote was held together with duct tape but the bed was comfortable. The breakfast is nothing but a measly effort to say they offer breakfast. It consisted of instant grits, cold cereal, and toast. Not appetizing! The elevator is on its last legs. The air conditioner is extremely loud but kept me cool. I would not come back or recommend to anyone.
