Boardwalk Hotel Charlee & Beach House Rentals

Super disappointed and disgusted Nothing like pictures. Actually pretty ghetto. Felt totally unsafe as door latch and window latch were loose or broken. Walls and baeeboards were noticeably dirty and scummy. Toliet paper hold fell off wall, Toliet seat was completely attached and loose. 10 minutes to get hot water, sink basin wasnt attached, base cabinet loose and worn. Beds suck, metal frame beds (military or dorm room style) with crappy mattresses. Bugs found (ants I believe, thank god) crawling on bed and floor. Furniture (only 2 peices) outdated and obviously look worn and damaged. Office guy kept disappearing. Place stunk and the entire building was worn and damaged. Very disappointed and asked for refund or discount. Of course, as i checked out I told the guy I wasnt happy about any of this and he acted so surprised. In addition, deck in front of room was party spot from 2 a.m till sunrise. Seaside Heights in general appears to have fallen to worn out and junky.

AWFUL, STINKY, DIRTY, HORRIBLE This place is AWFUL! DO NOT GO HERE! It says it is 100% non smoking, but my room & the office reeked of cigarette smoke. The room was dirty & had hairs (either beard, nose or pube) in the sink! Don't even get me started on the customer service! _ I was told we could not get a refund because the 'manager' wasn't there & that we would get a call back. 3 days later, my husband called & they offered only a partial refund. Their reasoning for only partial refund was because the ROOM NEEDED TO BE CLEANED AGAIN (even though it was dirty when I walked in! ) because I spent an hour in there. So disgusted, disappointed & will be writing this review & posting the hair pictures from their sink everywhere possible!!

Solid Experience, Just Know What You're Getting We had a very nice stay at the Boardwalk over the weekend. Just note that the room labeled as a "Queen" is absolutely not a queen, it is a full bed. It is very comfortable and had 4 pillows, comforter, 4 towels, good sheets. There is no coffee/tea in room (website says there is). The breakfast place underneath the hotel is good but had one guy working so 30 min wait for grill food so you may want to look someplace else. Great food nearby otherwise. A good value for what it is - clean, comfortable, good directv. You may have to wait to check in if nobody's there, they are busy doing other tasks. Have a great time @ the shore!

Dirty and UNSAFE Hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel that was rated a 3 STAR hotel by Bookings.com. I was given a key and walked past bags of trash and beer cans on my way to the room. The room was very dirty with used linens in a pile next to the bed. The bed looked slept in and trash on the floor in the bathroom. The hotel is very old and the manager told me the photos used on the site were old and not accurate to the quality of the hotel. The manager was very understanding and gave me a key to another room in the back of the hotel that was also very dirty and again had trash and beer cans piled at the door. The room was old, not maintained and bathroom door was falling off and would not close. the bathroom was not cleaned with used towels and wash rags on the floor and counter. it looked like the room as not cleaned and did not have a just cleaned smell and my shoes were sticking to the floor as I walked. I went back to the manager and he understood and said he would process a refund for the 4 nights I had paid to stay at this Hotel. It has been 5 months and I have still not received the refund from the Hotel or BOOKINGS.COM. This trip was for my 84 year old mother to visit her hometown and see a few family members. There were no elevators or Handicap access options to help get her to a room. The outside stairs were all in need of repair and not safe for anyone with disabilities. I would not recommend this hotel Boardwalk Charlie to anyone.. it is not family safe or family friendly.

Health Hazzard!!!! False Advertising!!! This place is AWFUL. Worst place we have ever seen. Dirty walls and floors. Hole in the wall. Shower floor sinking as though you will fall through it. Ants in the bathroom. The beds were pull down, not real beds. One bed clicked when you sat on it. The place should be investigated by the board of heath for unsanitary living conditions. When we told the manager what our concerns were he didn't even care. Probably hears it alot of the time. No customer service skills whatsoever. We did have a great time at the beach and the boardwalk was cool. The name on the motel, not hotel is also different than where you're staying. I think the original owners had a decent place and sold to these lowlife owners who are trying to benefit from a previous stay and reviews. Do yourselves a favor and stay clear from this place. The reviews are real. See our pictures below. We didn't stay the night. We drove home the same day.
