this “under new management “ ploy was nothing more than a”smoke screen” to cover this company’s lack of customer service This hotel is a joke. It is falling apart. The front desk staff are more interested in their personal discussions than servicing needs of patrons. Closet mirror broken. Refrigerator made loud noises all night long, And the other appliances only worked sporadically. We have never seen toilet commodes this low before. They are a definitive hazard for older people or individuals with back or hip issues. Also our room had obviously been broken into on several past occasions. The door did not close properly, the door jam was splintered all around the door latch mechanism, and the door plate had been raised to compensate for the other door issues, which presented a trip hazard. I requested the contact info for both the assistant General Manager and General Manager and wrote them both a email sharing our concerns, but of course, “attitude reflects leadership”, just like the staff…we never heard a single word from Corey or DJ. If “under new management” really meant something to this organization, there would have been at least a call or text response to our concerns!

Needs repairs. In need of repairs. Only2 elevators and one is not working so long waits. Rooms did not have a/c and fixtures, carpeting, decor need a refresh. Bathrooms were good and easy access to Mo’s was nice, but hot tub didnt have jets working and one elevator doesn’t cut it for hotel this size.

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK I usually do not like to write a bad review however I must write this as a WARNING to those booked at or thinking of reserving a room at the Promenade Inn Seaside, Oregon. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM AT THIS HOTEL, IT IS NOT SAFE!!!! The one "operational" elevator kept breaking down during the weekend. The other one has been broken for years. And if you are staying there DO NOT FALL FOR THE "UPGRADE" SCAM. ($90 a night?). I booked a room here last year for Corgi Beach Day when it was a Shilo Hotel and had a nice "Partial view" room. This year for Corgi Beach Day I fell for the "upgrade" to a Full Ocean View room that was a disaster. The appliances did not work and worst of all the room was directly over the huge ventilation system which sounds like you are standing next to a large prop airplane, so loud you are unable to open your patio door if you want to hear inside the room. I asked to be "downgraded" to a "regular" room and moved to a beautiful room, quiet room with all the amenities working. Note: ALL OCEANFRONT ROOMS HAVE THE SAME VIEW! Also they try to extort you for an additional $40 if you want to check in before 4:00 pm even though your room is available. My daughter booked a room on Saturday so she could join us for Corgi Beach Day and was told she could not only check in early but could not even park in the lot (with plenty of open spaces ) unless she paid the $40 extortion fee. She parked several blocks away. So stupid! The worst part was Sunday morning when the elevator completely stopped working trapping people inside the elevator. This forced everyone, including people in wheelchairs to use the stairs for the day. The Fire Department was called to assist some guests. Now the staff could be nice and apologetic except they just stare blankly and reply "Well, this is what you should expect from a hotel that is being remodeled”. The only professional person is DJ, the Assistant General Manager, who assisted the line of disgruntled guests with their complaints. This hotel advertises a wonderful experience yet fails in so many ways to only upset guests who have now lost all respect, trust and loyalty to this hotel and the corporate hotel brand of which I will never stay at again. If you must stay here DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK

A Disappointing Stay Redeemed by Exceptional Service Our recent stay at the Promenade Ocean Front Hotel was, to put it mildly, less than satisfactory due to several management and organizational shortcomings. However, it was the outstanding service provided by an employee named Terelle that brought light to an otherwise dim experience. Upon our early arrival, we were briskly told by a manager to return at the standard check-in time. This would have been a minor inconvenience had it not been for the chaos we encountered at 4 PM. The front desk was swamped, burdened by a dauntingly long line and connectivity issues with their systems, making the check-in process painfully slow and testing the patience of many guests. In the midst of this turmoil stood Terelle, a beacon of professionalism and efficiency. Despite the malfunctioning equipment and growing frustration among guests, he managed to check in guests with a calmness and courtesy that was truly remarkable. His communication was clear, and his sincere thanks for our patience did not go unnoticed, easing the tension and making the wait bearable. The challenges did not end at the front desk. Discovering our rooms were inadequately prepared, especially considering our specific needs traveling with an elderly family member, could have been the last straw. Yet again, Terelle stepped in, ensuring we were relocated to suitable accommodations, demonstrating an exceptional level of care and attention to detail. It's rare to encounter someone who maintains such high standards of customer service under pressure. Terelle not only alleviated a potentially distressing situation but also significantly improved our overall impression of the hotel. While our visit was initially disappointing due to the evident poor management and organizational issues, Terelle's unparalleled dedication to guest satisfaction shone through. It's because of his effort that we would consider giving the Promenade Ocean Front Hotel another chance in the future. We hope Terelle's exemplary service is recognized and rewarded as it truly made a difference in our stay.
