As good as a 5 star…. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Better than most 5 star. The service is excellent, staff friendly and helpful-all of them. Great bar, great location and great rooms! Although we were upgraded because we had our dog with us , so I don’t know what a standard room is like. VERY pet friendly. They have a “VIP BOARD”listing all pets staying and provide bowls, treats, toys etc. This is our new go-to hotel for Seattle.

An upscale boutique hotel with character and class. I stayed in Seattle at this hotel for about 3 nights in 2016. I take my autistic son on roadtrips every summer. He was about 11 then and I had sitters stay with him while he slept so that I could go out and explore. I have such great memories of this hotel. It was clean, classy, and as I recall well located. Because my son didn’t fall asleep until after 8 or 9, I didn’t go out till late. But when I did it was basically cool. It felt a bit sketchy downtown but the hotel staff gave me guidelines: the safety boundaries were Madison to Blanchard on 1st, Between Pike and Blanchard on 2nd, stay as far away from Pike, Pine, and 3rd as much as possible. There were some cool spots above 3rd but best stick to 1st and occasionally second. I was out pretty late and had no problems. Honestly, I walked to alot of places late at night where today people warn in strong terms to avoid after dark and I never felt unsafe. At all. (I’m a short medium build guy. Nothing intimidating. I am now in Seattle for the first time since 2016 for a professional conference. Today, the entire downtown area is like DTLA. It’s filled with homeless. The neighborhood stinks. You need to be really alert and engaged at all times. The only difference is that not too many tourists come to DTLA to walk around whereas people visiting Seattle still do. So, during daylight hours it’s relatively safe. I’d compare the level of danger and mischief to that of Times Square, New York, today. During nighttime, after 10 pm, I really wouldn’t walk too much around alone or even with a group. Staying at the Sheraton Grand on this trip, and it so lacks the charm and character and luxuriousness of the Alexis. I really miss that hotel. Will stay there next trip to Seattle.

Family at Seattle Our room is huge and that is very nice. But hotel and room feel old and dated. Somehow the pictures onsite looked much better than actual room. We have no view that can enjoy. Staff are nice and hotel is at great location. The bed do feel comfortable and that is always a huge plus.

Wonderful location! This is an older hotel but seems to be well maintained. Wonderful location close to shops, restaurants and the waterfront. The staff are amazing !! They have a couple of valets who literally "run" to open doors !! The food in the bar is amazing! I would definitely stay here again.
