Doubletree by Hilton, Double Happiness! Awesome place! We went to Seattle for our honeymoon and stayed at Doubletree by Hilton. It was an absolutely amazing experience! The Seaports Lounge gave excellent service. The bartender, Mikey was very kind. They even gave us dinner vouchers since it was our honeymoon. We also loved the pool and of course the complimentary cookies! All around an awesome experience and we will definitely be staying here again when we come back someday for an anniversary trip!!

Filthy bug infested dump...MUST BE PAID REVIEWS Bitten by ant refused refund... Stayed July 8-10 on last.night I was awakened by an ant bite. I took pics and video and headed to the front desk to report the horrific experience and request a refund Was offered a upgraded room in the " tower" located near the rear of the hotel. Called corporate after not receiving the refund and was told sorry but you have to call 3rd party vendor who.booked our stay. Third party was told it was a non refundable booking and they were denying the refund.

Slightly disappointed First let me preface our hotel stay was ok, met our basic needs for the day. They had a nice pool. It was close to the SeaTac airport and offered free shuttle service. We ate dinner in the restaurant before we left. We had just gotten off an amazing Alaskan cruise vacation and needed a place to crash for the day before our night flight home. But we had 3 minor issues during our 8 hr day use hotel stay. I booked 2 separate room reservations on the Dayuse app. One room i requested 2 single beds vs 1 double bed. I was traveling with some friends and the bed was not split as per my reservation request. Was told at check in - none were available. Very disappointed as they were not able to accommodate our request. What ever, we made do for the short time we used the room. Second issue- I purchased a sweatshirt in the gift shop. When asked how much as I didn’t see a price tag- I was quoted $56?? But when I got back to the room, I found a tag on the sweatshirt that said $48. They overcharged me about $8 so when I go back to question why - lady said the tag is wrong and that’s what they rang up as. Sorry but I don’t agree - if item has a price tag, they should honor it and refund the difference- it wasn’t clearly marked correctly so be aware And shame on them for overcharging items in their gift shop. Lastly my biggest complaint was their lack of concern about me and people’s safety. Basically I accidentally tripped and fell and injured my knees. While walking into the entrance of the hotel I tripped on a slight ramp that I obviously didn’t see and fell to my hands and knees hard onto the concrete pavement. I had a backpack on my back and carry on luggage and It was not clearly marked, or flagged as watch your step - so to prevent others from falling. See photo below . When we got to the front desk, the man asked if I needed 911 assistance and basically asked me to fill out an incident report to hotel security. Luckily I didn’t hit my head or require any medical assistance- but seriously someone could be injured. He claimed to have cones up but are often moved. I was slightly disappointed in their lack of customer service or concerns to ensure we had a pleasant overall experience. Or offered anything to compensate for my inconveniences (except 2 extra chocolate chip cookies) Other than that- our stay would have been better.

Stay away at all costs Horrible customer service, waited hour to get room air conditioning did not work. Maintenance could not fix. Called front desk every 2 hours to ask for a fan, was told one was on the way. Never received one. The hotel carpets are something out of The Shining.

Stop Off on our way to Portland We booked this hotel using Hotwire as we were flying into Seattle from London and then had another flight to Portland a few days later so didn't want to deal with jet lag and move heavy bags around the city. The main draw was it's closeness to the airport terminal and the Link Lite train which goes downtown. We booked a twin room with two large double beds and a balcony. The price was around $600 for two nights. There are free shuttle buses that run regularly between the airport and the various hotels in the area. We used this service to go back to the airport on the one day we had in Seattle and then on to the Link Lite train downtown which was $6 return for 3 of us. Dropped us near Pike Place Market where we spent our day. We were exhausted on arrival and found the long check in process hard. We arrived at around 5.30pm so just have been a busy time for arrivals. The room was ok. A bit tired. You could tell it is regularly used. There was a big damp patch next to the AC unit. The balcony looked out over a car park. The beds were super comfortable. The shower was powerful and the toiletries provided were lovely. There was a coffee machine but no kettle which is a tough one for tea drinking Brits! There was a fridge but no water. This was $3 a bottle for a small Costco water at reception. Extraordinary for a 4 star hotel not to provide water. A poor touch IMO. The room was quiet and had good black out curtains. Perfect for dealing with jetlag. The hotel had a pool which we used. This was accessible only for guests with the room key. Pool towels were provided. The main pool was freezing which for me was great. My 10 year old struggled a bit but settled once we started to play. Helped by very hot weather. There was a spa pool next to it, which was boiling. Great after the cold main pool. The pool area was clean and comfortable. We are at two restaurants at the hotel. The first was Coffee Garden which is where we had breakfast. We were given vouchers for our first morning breakfast but not for the second. Cost was $25 for an adult buffet breakfast. $12.50 for children. Our daughter is coeliac and there were gluten free options. There was a lot of choice and the food was great. Plenty of coffee and juice too. Due to jetlag we were up for it opening at 6am but a line formed on both days so it can get very busy. We were lucky and got a table quickly on both days. We also ate at Seaports. No under 21s allowed in the bar area so we sat in the lounge. Food was ok. Nothing special. One thing which was handled well was another family decided to leave their children in the lounge unsupervised whilst the parents sat in the bar. The kids were loud and disruptive. The server called the manager who located the parents and asked them to leave for their behaviour. Was a relief to us and the other diners. The best thing for me at this hotel was the staff. The most friendly and helpful of our 2.5 week stay in the US. To the overnight reception clerk who was friendly at 3am to the wonderful servers both days in Coffee Garden. As airport hotels go it was convenient and had what was needed but expensive, which is fairly standard. If we could get a better deal we would go back.
