Too hot in the summer no A/C In the summer the room was way too hot, there is no a/c and limited amount of fans that blow the same hot air, the nightly rate was expensive to be suffering with the heat, the windows don’t work. My kids room on 8th floor was even hotter and they had no more fans available, their TV and coffee maker didn’t work. Location is ok. Personnel was nice, there is a laundry mat at building across the street.

Nice place to stay I was there for 9 days due to family member at Harborview hospital, which is about a 15 min walk away, about 8 blocks. The staff was always friendly and my room was always clean. Amazon delivered to it so e times even the same day as I ordered stuff. A few places to eat close by. Connected to other hospital, Virginia Mason. One caution going out at night not recommended, lots of street and homeless in the evening once it gets darker.

Great Visit We stayed at the Inn at Virginia Mason on a visit to Seattle for a Mariner game. The inn was built in the 1920’s and has vintage charm. Rooms are clean and large. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. The neighborhood was quiet and the staff were professional. Parking is expensive and there is no food on the premises. Some reviews complain of no AC. In Seattle this generally isn’t a problem, but beware if traveling during the summer. A good value

The “hospital hotel” It’s true about no AC and the limited parking means basically no parking. And it’s true that the laundry facility is actually in the sister hotel across the street, which isn’t fair to list in your amenities. And it’s weird to be next to the downtown hospital, like practically in the hospital. But the room was spacious and the beds were some of the best I’ve ever encountered. We had a good experience with staff but didn’t ask them for anything much. The bathrooms give it away—since they are big enough for a wheelchair, this 100 year old building was probably once part of the hospital.

Unless you like to be treated as a waste of someone’s time, avoid this dump The room (301) is small and dark, next to the elevator and overlooks an internal courtyard. The windows don’t open and there was no AC. The front desk clerk made it sound like he was doing me a tremendous favour by agreeing to find someone to fix it! “I guess I could try to find someone to fix it “ —- then he sighs! When asked for a different room he responded “I guess you could stand in a closet” —- then he sighs. Not only is this place an extraordinary overpriced dump, its staff are unaccommodating and rude!
