Do not stay in room #421, unfriendly front desk staff The room was not prepared at all for the guests before they let us in... the air conditioning was not ON; the windows were left open and the room felt very hot. The front desk staff is not customer friendly, and we had to argue and literally fight to get our room changed which happened after couple of hours of unpacking and had to pack and move to a new room again. The hotel staff originally offered 50% off on first day but eventually they didn't honor it as they changed the room but still left us with a bad initial experience. We had to go to front desk for every small need like the utensils in the kitchen, toaster, extra blanket/pillow etc. Breakfast was the worst, and they shouldn't say "free breakfast" for this hotel... all they offer is muffins and bars which gets runout 5mins after they are placed

Keep Looking It was ROUGH. The free breakfast is super limited, the key cards never work so you’re always bugging front desk, some staff are clueless it took me 13 hours to get a plunger for my clogged toilet, the room was not well cleaned when I arrived there was garbage on the floor, dust on the phone, hair in the bathtub. And the sensitivity of the fire alarm is no joke, we had to evacuate 2/7 of the nights we were there because someone set it off by showering.

Convenient location...and that's about it. Thank you in advanced for reading, it's a long review, but I believe it's worth your attention and time. My husband and I stayed here just for a quick weekend trip to NYC. We chose this hotel because of the convenience of having the bus stop right outside the hotel. Took the 320 bus to Port Authority. $4.50 each way (we paid cash and the driver could not give us change back just fyi). We were at Port Authority terminal in about 15 minutes, it was perfect! When we checked in, the concierge was on the phone and when she got done talking, she was complaining how the person on the other line did not understand her and couldn't speak any English. First, I don't need to know about the conversation you had. And second, it's just not a great look for you or the hotel. You're supposed to be welcoming and polite and you missed the opportunity to do so. Now let's talk about the actual room we stayed in. From first glance it seemed fine. We just needed a basic, clean place to stay, nothing fancy, but we couldn't even get that. The floors had not been probably mopped in months. After my shower I used the towel to wipe some water off the floor and the towel went from bright white to brown. Disgusting. We did not go barefoot at all that weekend in the room. My socks I wore from the bathroom to the bed instantly went from a baby blue to a brown from the floors (picture provided). It was just unsettling and made you think about other surfaces that have probably not been touched in months. Also, bring your own toiletries. 1 small bar of soap is all we got. No shampoo, conditioner or lotion provided. I had brought my own luckily so didn't need to ask. It's not a big deal asking, but it feels more welcoming when those things are already provided. Now let's get to the continental breakfast. For the price we paid for two nights (a little over $500) we were expecting a bit more options. Oatmeal, packaged muffins-not fresh, granola bars and coffee. That's all. I don't expect much from continental breakfast, but this seemed to be sub par from most. Some fresh fruit and toppings for the oatmeal would have been nice, and maybe some juice and non pre packaged muffins could be an idea. I have never stayed at an extended stay before, but I was expecting the room to have at least plates and silverware already there. We ended up having to ask the front desk for a few plates and forks, which is no big deal, but the concierge at the desk acted like it was a whole task for her to do that. The "let me go see" after we asked was filled with attitude and bother. All I wanted was to enjoy my birthday cheesecake _ Overall the only reasons I would tell you to stay here is if you need a quick place to stay for a night or two that has easy and affordable access into the city. Bring extra socks or slippers and maybe pack your own breakfast items if you're a breakfast person. Otherwise I would not come back here for the two reasons of cleanliness and lack of hospitality. There are plenty other hotels in that same plaza area that might be a little more expensive, but worth it and you get the same convenience of the bus stop. I get it, it's dirty jersey, but can that not apply to the hotel rooms?

Dank, dirty and noisy This hotel looks great in the online photos and the outside of the building itself looks just fine in person. Everything else is pretty bad. To start, the hallways look dirty and the next time they clean the carpets will be the first. The room was run down, the bed small and the bedding quite thin. The bed itself was comfortable enough but that didn't matter because you couldn't sleep through the building wide fire alarms. Apparently they are triggered by people smoking in the rooms or trying to disable the smoke detectors. Our room even had a metal security screen around the smoke detector. The alarm wasn't a little beep beep or chirp chirp but an ear splitting building wide klaxon horn. Another little surprise in our room was a built in microwave oven that was fond of emitting bright blue electric sparks. The "grab and go" breakfast consisted of gummy muffing in cellophane and what looked to be Walmart breakfast bars. There was coffee in the morning in the lobby which was good because the rooms had no coffee makers. The shower gushed s much water from the faucet as it did from the shower head which means it was about to break completely. Finally, the hotel is surrounded by busy roads and highways just a stones throw away so there was constant road noise. The staff did their best to help but the hotel and its rooms are basically hopeless. The clientele of the hotel suited it perfectly. One fellow walked around the entrance reciting the Lord's prayer in a loud voice and another sat smoking something on the front steps for hours, covered by an umbrella even when it wasn't raining. They didn't exactly look homeless or like illegals but they sure were unsavory. We stay in the area a lot and can say from experience that the other choices for lodging are worlds better. I would not stay in the hotel again and would suggest a careful look at TA reviews before you spend your hard earned money at this dump.
