One night is ok. Basic hotel that needs updating! Stayed here for 1 night pre cruise. I was taking a cruise from NYC. Room was clean but bathroom needed upgrades. Beds were uncomfortable. Very hard mattresses. Staff was friendly. Breakfast needed more fresh options. Pastries looked dry and unappealing. Ok for one night but I wouldn't stay again. Close to stores...like Walmart, Wendy's, wine store, etc.

Clean as convenient! Found this last minute when looking for a hotel close to MetLife for a concert we were attending. Compared to other hotels this seemed reasonable priced. Was a little nervous reading some reviews, but just needed a good lace to sleep that was safe and clean. The hotel was that. It was clean. Rooms were basic. Nothing spectacular but shower was hot and beds were comfy. Mini fridge and microwave. Shuttle to MetLife. The driver was excellent and whatever he gets paid he needs to get paid more! We did not hear any noise! It was a quick drive to American Dream/Metlife and gorgeous night view of Manhattan sky line! Breakfast was included at their restaurant that served eggs, potatos pancakes and some breads buffet style. It was nice to have that included-but definitely should try to include some more healthier options, yogurt and fruits for folks. For 245 that close to a sold out concert, where others were charging double or triple it was worth it and most importantly clean! I would stay here again if I am ever in the area!

Short of customer service and follow thru I recently stayed with several family members (we had 5 rooms) but was not pleased that hotel staff had confirmed over the phone they provided cribs for infants but when we arrived we were told they have never provided them. No concern for the inconvenience they put us through. We had to purchase one at Walmart. No apologies, not a care for their customers. The staff looked like they were out of it. The manager tried to get me to prove that I called (which I had by texts to another family member confirming I had called and what they had told me). Showed him the texts but I should not have been subjected to that and then to not do anything about their mistake it's unforgivable. Never ever again will my family stay here because of their lack of concern or care. On another note, the coffee in lobby sucked. The breakfast staff was not the nicest, and tried to rush you out by 10am. Did not feel very welcoming. The rooms were alright for the price but not the ones in front of the elevators as it can be very noisy. Part of customer service is making everything well for your guest and they surely fell short on the way they made us feel.

Very group friendly My group traveling to New York by bus needed a great place to stay close to the city. The Meadowlands Plaza Hotel was the perfect spot. Nick Cimorelli from the sales department was wonderful to work with from start to finish. I arrived at the hotel prior to the group to make sure everything was in order, and it was. Brandy and Manny were very helpful when I registered and I got a tour of the hotel including a special area for the group to dine for breakfast. The breakfast buffet, which can be added to the reservation for a very reasonable price, was great with eggs, meats, potatoes, pancakes, breads and sweets, cereal, fruit, and juices. Ilda was my point of contact for breakfast and she was also very helpful. The staff was very flexible about when the group ate breakfast. The rooms were very clean and large for NYC area standards. The bed and pillows were comfortable. When the group arrived, the room keys were ready to go along with a list of the room numbers for the chaperones. We requested overnight hotel security and a guard sat in the hall to make sure none of the high school travelers left their room during the night. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle to the Secaucus train station. It was not available at all times, but I did use it once. It was a quick 10 minute ride with a very friendly driver. The train into NY Penn Station takes about 10 minutes and is very user and cost friendly. There was a knock on my room door and I was very surprised to be greeted by two staff members with a plate of cookies as a thank you for placing my group at the hotel. I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel and its staff. If I had to give one critique, it would be that the hotel is right next to a freeway and there was some traffic noise. If that is the worst thing I can say about the hotel, I'd say this is a wonderful place to stay.
