Best Western Plus Meadowlands

A very good option for NYC visit. When I was looking for a hotel in NJ as a a launching pad to visit NYC, I did not find many helpful reviews. I hope this one is useful. Rooms at this hotel have been remodeled recently. Breakfast has hot and cold options. Space for breakfast is tight but they have added an extra room. Hotel and rooms are very clean. No worries here. Bus #320 to Manhattan leaves across the street and round trip costs $9.70. Traffic can be intense but you will be in Manhattan in 20-30 minutes. Tickets for the bus can be purchased with the machine directly at the bus stop.

Easy access to Manhattan NY Stayed at this hotel because we wanted to see New York. Was concerned that it was a bit far from the centre however there is a great NJT bus shuttle right opposite the hotel so this made everything work. Really nice modern hotel with comfortable bed and good bathroom.

Very price quality ratio. Well located, clean, friendly. Very spacious rooms, very good bed ! Well located ! friendly staff. We enjoy the information that was provided to us by people at the reception. Breakfast was pretty good even if it was a continental one. Parking was very easy and we felt secure because the way parking is organized.

Good location, rude staff. Cons When checking in the staff was rude, The wifi was not working in any part of the hotel except the lobby, The staff was rude a second time when inquiring about the lack of wifi, The mini fridge in our room did not work, and it required 3 visits from the staff to finally correct on our last evening at the property. The bed frame was that of a queen and the mattress was a king (as expected) and this caused the bed to shift and make loud noises the entire stay. Pro. The rooms are nicely renovated and the breakfast was included.

Worst service Don’t come over if you want wifi. Their service is absolutely Bad. They took out money then told us no wifi till Tuesday and no compensation. The general manager is Angelique Cruz. She was really rude considering our situation. I am writing a review only to let people know but I am definitely taking this further. Location is good room is good but service is really bad and unacceptable. I travel a lot and I go to motels and hotels and I’ve never been to one with no wifi and regardless if they had an issue they never ever ever told us DO NOT BOOK We are a family with 2 kids and 2 older people and we are literally stuck at this hotel cuz everything in New York will be expensive to book last minute. I am just completely shocked at this. She tells us we can book someplace else like it’s such a joke. And so so disappointing. It’s stressful for me at a time I should be watching my mental health, it is really upsetting. UPDATE. They called us at 10 and told her to leave as in check out because of my review. I am screenshotting the email here the manager sent me. Also this manager gave other guests best western points as compensation but never brought it up to me. I screenshotted her reply to me. She keeps saying. She told us to check out yesterday like as if we had a hotel ready and let’s not forget the financial pressure of spending a lot more money. This is simply shocking. We have lodged a complaint with best western and definitely taking this further. Also another screenshot of a review that was posted a week ago about bad internet. So this clearly didn’t happen the day we checked in which was a lie :)
