Best place to stay in Sequoia This humble, magnificent cabin hotel is in the heart of the magnificent Sequoia national park. The rooms are excellent, very sympathetic to the surroundings. The food was the best I ate in America, as well as the cheapest. The staff were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Great location. The best parts of the park are within a 10 minute drive ( and you have to have a car ). The park itself is ancient, awesome and other worldly. A remarkable part of our planet.

Location, Location, Location The location of this lodge cannot be beat - it's absolutely spectacular. That being said, the rooms are old, dated and dark, but clean and comfortable. The rooms are in separate buildings with no elevators and you have walk your luggage UP from the parking lots. I noticed a lot of older people had issues navigating these things. The main lodge is newer and nice, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's very dark at night so you needs lights to get to the lodge for dinner if you come later in the year like we did. The food was surprisingly good and there was a nice variety.

Only great thing about this place is the location The rooms are a long, long way from the beautiful lodge you see in the photos. At night, it is pitch black around the room buildings. The main parking lot for rooms was closed so it was a hike just to get your things to and from your car. No luxuries here. The redeeming factor was the friendly staff, especially Brody ... that guy can build a mean fire!

Great spot in Sequoia NP Rustic but comfortable lodge in the heart of Sequoia NP. The room had a fridge and decent sized bathroom. Meals at the lodge a short walk away were very good and we enjoyed beers on the outdoor patio. Spectacular setting! Minutes’ drive from the General Sherman tree and Congress Trail, which was important as it got very crowded later in the morning.
