Worse than terrible We rented the 2 bedroom suite--it was filthy with so many stains and burn holes in carpet--the handrail was cut---remotes to TV didn't work--Not handicap accessible as we had to carry a mobility scooter up the stairs--lights didn't work--they take a 250 deposit--I'm sure if we didn't take pictures and spoke to someone at the desk they would have blamed us--can't forget the bug in the bathtub--that unit needs to be closed- the night we checked in all we got as an answer "I don't know"--even calling customer service that night they didn't care--this has been the worst place we have ever stayed in all our years of traveling--they did have a helpful person Sat am--

The photos were nice Had a very positive experience at a Sonesta property in New York several months ago so I decided to try this location. A complete disappointment. The stains on the carpet had stains. The closet door had a hole in it. The walls had been burned in several places. Utensils consisted of one fork, three knives - no spoons. Paper towel was missing. Arrived late in the evening and departed very early in the morning. Definitely not what I was expecting.

This place is party central and the grounds stay filthy. While the room itself appeared to be somewhat clean, the furniture was old and rickety. There were stains on the carpet and couch. The bed seemed clean and was comfortable (thank goodness). But there is a lot to be desired. This place is party central. As we pulled in with some take out to relax after a long day setting up and working at a convention, the place is full of older teenagers literally EVERYWHERE. There is no room to park or even for us to move forward in the drive. So we sat in the car for 15 minutes watching the goings on. Police were already on scene and evacuating the party rooms. There had to be 100-150 young people coming out of the unit directly above and more exiting the room adjacent to that one. I was worried with the sheer number of people and the construction of the place that the ceiling could have fallen in. Once the police got them out of the rooms, there were a lot of people then standing around waiting to be picked up by their ride. The police cleared one parking spot so we could finally park. They then used our car to hold their purses and jackets and left trash everywhere. There was broken glass on our doorstep. And worst of all, our room reeked of weed so bad. The smell was still there the next day. The next night wasn’t much better. We get back from the convention to hearing someone running back and forth in the unit above us. And more kids (looked like preteens) hanging out all over the grounds and the smell of weed again very prominent outside. We heard kids walking and cars going back and forth around our unit for most of the night. Thank goodness I brought a sound machine to drown out some of it to get some sleep. I’m all for kids having fun but find a different place to hang out. Now back to the place itself, the toilets are installed at an angle towards the wall which makes it awkward to use. The toilet paper is so thin, it was comical. There was no conditioner in the bathroom dispenser. The two chairs in the kitchen area were so rickety and unstable. The kitchen sponge had already been used! There was trash everywhere in the grass and walkways. I asked for more towels and every time I checked they never had wash towels available to switch out. The units have sliding glass doors and a fireplace?!?! Both caused a draft in the room and I worried about the security of the sliding glass door. I will not stay here again and definitely would not recommend this place!

Pleasantly surprised Our room was really roomy. We didn’t expect to have as much space available as we did. The room itself was very clean, equipped with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher! The king bed was super comfy. My daughter and son in law said that the pull out couch wasn’t too bad.

AVOID and FILTHY This review is long, so to summarize in just two words: avoid and filthy. This was our first time staying at any Sonesta ES Suites, a decision that we both regret, as our room and the grounds were subpar, at best. The grounds were unkempt, as there was a lot of trash and debris in the parking lot, as well as the entryways. The first room to which were assigned was located on the backside of one of the buildings, with no clear walkway to access the upstairs room (i.e. we had to walk through the grass to the back of the building). As soon as we went up to the room, we noticed another patron allowing his dog to defecate on the grass where anyone who stayed in one of those back rooms had to walk through, without cleaning it up. To avoid having to navigate around any feces while unloading and loading our luggage, as well as just when we left/entered the room, we requested to be transferred to another room located on the front side of a building. After just a short inspection of the room, we were immediately dissatisfied with the lack of cleanliness and began looking for other hotels, willing to incur any financial consequences as a result of cancelling our reservation. Unfortunately, we were unable to find any other hotels within reasonable driving distance, with the amenities we needed, and for the duration that we needed. When we requested a change in rooms, we were repeatedly told by the front desk staff of the limited availability of clean rooms due to staffing shortages. We can understand having a staffing shortage; however, the fact that this room was presented as “clean” is inexcusable. Before we unpacked anything, we found a local dollar store and purchased cleaning supplies. Here is an exhaustive list of grievances: • “Pink mold” on the shower head (we cleaned ourselves) • Used, dirty “Scrub Mommy” left under the kitchen sink (requested replacement from front desk) • Only a mostly used bottle of dish liquid and no dishwasher detergent to wash dishes (requested replacement from front desk) • Coffee maker appeared both dirty and broken (did not use) • Incomplete set of utensils (we had to purchase a set from the same dollar store) • Crumbs on dining room table • Floors had crumbs and other debris and clearly hadn’t been mopped • The phone was broken • The sliding closet door was broken • The bathroom door had to be forcibly open, as it became stuck when closed • No ironing board to accompany the iron • Previous occupant(s) lighter was left on the floor next to the bed • There was a lingering odor of marijuana, which no amount of room freshener resolved • Microwave plate was left dirty and the microwave itself had hair in it (we cleaned ourselves) • The glass cutting board had stuck on food particles (which we scrubbed off) • There was a McDonald’s breakfast platter lid left on top of the refrigerator • A balloon was left on the floor under one of the chairs • The fabric areas of the sofa (i.e. armrests and back), as well as the carpet were heavily soiled and clearly have not been shampooed in quite a long time, if ever at all
