Awkward bathroom This was one of the strangest bathrooms. The doors opened on an angle. There was a full length mirror in a corner of the bathroom where you can barely even squeeze by the counter, but there were so many more optimal places it could have been located, like in the spacious sitting area. There was a huge sink counter that seemed out of place for the tiny space. It went sink, toilet, bath/shower but I think the sink and toilet could have been reversed. The teeny fix could be to add a nightlight so you can navigate all this in the dark. However the beds were fine, it was quiet. Would recommend for a short stay so your frustration levels don’t go too high.

Hampton Inn TOPS Hilton Garden Inn! What a wonderful experience staying at this hotel! it started with the phone call I made to book my reservation. I spoke with Amy and she couldn’t have been more friendly or warmer to me, and she never met me. When I got to the hotel how lucky I was that Amy was working at that time I felt like I was seeing a friend I hadn’t seen in a while she was so welcoming. Our room was absolutely beautiful and clean. Amy had said they were recently renovated. It was so quiet during our stay so easy to sleep at night, and even during the day, it was very quiet. The free breakfast was wonderful. They had so many options. It is situated in a part of Shelton, where there are many other stores and restaurants. For years we always stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, but after staying at this Hampton Inn, we are changing to Hampton Inns!

Cool pool, staff was short with guests, pool water cloudy The hotel was nice looking. The front desk day staff could have been kinder. I was given an attitude from moment one. The pool was huge and the slide was amazing. However the pool water was very cloudy and there was lots of hair floating around. The bathrooms in the pool area were nice, but lacking conditioner in the stalls during our entire stay. There were some towels in that area but they were very thin and worn. The pool water was pretty warm. The room, was large and spacious. Some things seemed updated. The bathroom was ackward and the doors were easy for kids to get their hands jammed in. The sheets on one bed were clean and fresh looking. The second bed was clearly slept in the pull out couch sheets were was also questionable. When I mentioned this to the front desk they brought up a set of sheets and said housekeeping was gone. The breakfast area was well stocked and kept nice and clean. The attendant was short with me when asked for waffles mix ingredients and assured me they were fine. She eventually got the bag of mix for me but with some attitude. Over all it was nice, but not the best Hampton inn we’ve stayed in.

Love this hotel and love the staff This establishment is clean, well maintained, breakfast is hot and floors are quiet, despite it being a family hotel. I left Central NY in a snow storm and had a formal event in Monroe that required makeup and hair get done. After the horrible drive I just wanted an hour sleep before hair and make up. I called to see if they could honor my request and the staff were amazing. They told me to drive safe and my room would be ready when I got there. When I checked in the staff where again wonderful. Customer service is this hotel’s strength. I’ve seen them go out their way to get linens at 10:30 at night, give directions, keep the coffee in the lobby hot, and just be amazing. I will definitely come back and recommend this place.

Old and worn Older hotel in definite need of updating. Furniture is worn, cabinets are chipped, and mattress should have replaced years ago. Plus elevator doors make horrible scraping noise. Bathroom is very cramped due to strange room layout and design.
