Cancellation of reservation I've had a reservation for three weeks for a business trip in four days. Today they call to inform me I've been bumped because of renovations and they'll put me in a hotel in another town. Thanks, no. There's a reason I booked to be in Shelton. I've gone back to the Hilton Garden Inn.

Low Class Hotel Presentation Poor front desk presentation. In fact, it came off as low class. I am surprised at HYATT. Rude front desk clerk-Jerry. Additionally had his co-workers hanging at the front desk with him-giving advice. Jerry stated that he didn't know we had a veteran's service dog at check-in, although it was approved the day before our visit. At one point he stated that we could not stay there for our stay upon check-in,in, when we had already paid in advance. They kept our incidental fees beyond the 5 days as stated. At this time--it is still not released.

Hotel Manager was awful Hotel manager was incredibly unprofessional. We were there for a Friday and Saturday night stay. Friday night he was uneventful, though we were told that at 10pm all guests had to go to there rooms. We were there with friends and wanted to talk in the lobby and were told no. On Saturday, there were signs everywhere that the entire lobby was reserved for an even and we would not be provided any amenities. There was a coffee/tea bar that was full of items, it was just missing the cannisters of water and coffee. When I asked if there was any hot water for me to make tea, he said he did not have to provide any amenities. He locked the pool on Saturday, we assumed it was closed for issues and then saw him open it for another older guest, I guess he just does not like kids. We were also told us early on Saturday that our entire group had to be in our rooms by 10 pm and if we were found even walking the halls, he would call the cops and have us removed. There was a wedding at the hotel that Saturday night and they were so loud all night. We could hear them in the halls all night. I guess we had to be in our rooms for them to party in the hallway. I have never been treated that poorly by the hotel staff ever. I gave this 2 stars because the morning breakfast staff was great.

Grubby Hotel Grubbiest hotel I have ever been to. When we arrived there was food smashed all over the elevator floor. Our room was grubby. Windows had a layer of dirt on it. A previous guest drew a heart with initials in the dirt. Stains all over the window shade. Furniture very scratched up. Rug in the room was completely disgusting. Drain in the tub was stuck making it difficult for the water to go down. Black stuff ( I have no idea what it was) on the inside of the bathroom door. My daughter pulled the sheet back from her bed and found a bracelet bead in the bed. The only plus to this was that they gave us plenty of towels. Breakfast was ok. Thank God we arrived late and left early to go on a college tour. I don’t know how this hotel got such a good rating because our room was so grubby and run down. I would not recommend this place at all!

Hotel Stay Made Wedding Party Experience Even Better We were there for a wedding - the bride and groom could not have chosen a better place to create the room block for out of town guests and the wedding party. It was a frictionless experience, from clean rooms to the bridal party getting ready in the downstairs suite, to the day after hotel breakfast that was extended for guests at the hotel who did not want the reunion to end. Thank you for your management of a great hotel experience.
