Oh no Marriott! I rented two rooms: One for me and my wife and one for my daughter and our grandson. Our room ran out of toilet paper and they charged us $22 per day per parking. The parking garage was very small and we were not told that we be paying for parking when we paid in advance. The staff was not very friendly, instead, it was just business as usual.)no real customer consideration). Pool was closed. Due to Covid-19 (so they say). The rooms really didn’t meet the standard cleaning of the types that I would consider normal to most Marriotts. There were just so many wrongs with this place, that I have chosen not to list. They drop the services but they did not drop the price and that really bothers me.

staffs lying to your face Since my elite status "guarantees" room upgrade (including suite rooms) when available, I asked if there was room upgrade was available. I was told that my room was upgraded to the one with sofa bed. I asked if suite room is available and was told that it wasn't. Later I realized that what I paid for was the room with sofa bed. I also confirmed that a suite room was available to book meaning it is available. I went back down and asked why I was told it was upgraded when it was the room I paid for. I was told that they "meant" my room was upgraded to a higher floor although there is no price difference. I don't think this counts as an "upgrade." I was told that upgrade means "nicer" room and as higher floor is considered nice, it was an upgrade. I asked why I was told that suite room is not available when the website says it is and was told those won't be cleaned for 24hr due to COVID policy. This doesn't make sense as if it was truly unavailable to follow that policy, it would not be available to be booked on website. Being lied at my face twice and keeps coming up with nonsense excuses are appalling. Additional minor issues that normally I would pass on but since the experience started with such foul manner, I will go ahead and list: - receptionist forgot to program my key with parking features and had to come back down to get a new key. When I said I will come and get new keys, she says "sure, don't worry about it." What? What should I worry about? You say "I apologize for the inconvenience" not "don't worry about it." - malfunctioning light in bathroom: have to hit several times till it works - malfunctioning TV: goes on mute for no reason. turns itself off for no reason. Very disappointing stay.

Heart of The Valley A well situated hotel in the heart of Sherman Oaks right on Ventura Boulevard. Plenty of food options to include the Cheesecake Factory, a Whole Foods, and many local restaurants. There is also plenty of shopping as well. The hotel is a short ten minute ride from Van Nuys and twenty minutes from Burbank Airport. The room was modern and very clean. The bed was soft and the pillows were even softer. The bathroom has a stand in shower with no tub. If you are a light sleeper request a room not facing Ventura Boulevard. The hotel has a policy of leaving each room vacant for 24 hours after the prior guest has left and been cleaned to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. The pool is the only amenity that was open. The spa and fitness room were closed. The restaurant and lobby seating areas were also closed. Other Amenities: - Free laundry - Business center - WiFi - Smart TV - Courtesy van

very disappointing! i was very disappointed in this hotel and it is not a good example of the Marriott brand that i am accustomed to. i chose this hotel bc it is a Marriott and the pics on the website looked very good. Indeed the lobby and rooms were very nice and decorated beautifully. However, the front of the hotel that is Marriott's own property was filthy, with litter and stains in front of the front door. not a welcoming sight. my ac was very loud as well. worse thing was they are the only hotel i have stayed in during covid (i have stayed in 16 due to my job) that did not even have coffee in the lobby. front desk said we could use the coffee in the room that course had powder for cream and taste awful. Staff was using covid as an excuse for not serving coffee but they could have even had some coffee delivered. will not be staying at this hotel again

Mother Our room was clean and up to date. Adam went up and above the call of duty while manning the front desk alone he still managed to send a fax for me not missing a beat with his concierge duties. Thank you Courtyard by Mariot for employing a competent, professional, easy to look at man named Adam. Sincerely, Leah
