DO NOT STAY HERE ...ROACHES AND DISRESPCTFUL MANAGER NAMED MIKE DESAI My family and I stayed at the Sleep Inn (LA229) 6720 Klug Pines Road, Shreveport, LA 71129 . I paid for2 nights, which totaled $365.86. I woke up on the morning and went into the bathroom and there were roaches crawling all over the bathroom counter and walls. I got my phone and was able to record it and immediately went to the front desk. It was 5am so there was no manager on duty and the clerk said there were no other rooms to move us to. We had to pack all of our belongings and shake everything out and put them high up on the table until we could handle the situation. We were in town for my granddaughter's graduation and were scheduled to be out of the room all day. I went down several times before we left to speak to the manager, and no one was ever available. I finally asked the clerk to call the manager on the telephone and she did. I talked to him on the phone to explain the situation and immediately upon answering he (Mike Desai) was ABSOULTELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL to me during the conversation. Midway through the conversation I had the wherewithal to record it. He basically told us that he did not have to do anything for us and that we could check out if we were not satisfied with the room we were in and after being very rude and argumentative he abruptly hung up on me. I asked the clerk to call him back and she said he was not going to answer, and he did not. She also said he is like that with everyone, very rude. I asked her to give me the number and I called him from my phone and initially he was still being extremely rude, but when I him I was a Law Enforcement Officer and had recorded our conversation to send to the corporate office that he started to somewhat listen to me. I told him that since he was not willing to help us in any way we had no other alternative but to check out and be refunded for the rest of our stay as well as compensated for the inconvenience. He began to yell again, and I told him that a proper response would have been to say that although he did not have another available room, he would provide a place for us to put our things while he had the room thoroughly cleaned while we were out. That would have been totally acceptable to us. He still insisted that we should check out and he would refund our money ,so that is what we did and did not stay there. I contacted CHOICE hotels and was told because all of their hotels are franchised I would have to deal with the hotel directly.

Clean and comfortable My wife and I stayed for one night. The room was clean and spacious and well lit, a table lamp on each side of the bed for reading! The bathroom was also large, with a very nice walk in shower. No curtain needed, as the wall wrapped around the stall, which was also well lit. The desk was large enough to use, with enough power outlets and charging ports. There were also charging ports next to the bed, power everywhere! The wifi worked well and the breakfast was about typical for a motel.

Terrible experience! I have so many complaints. The hotel stunk like a dentist office. We called ahead to make sure the hot tub and pool were open. It’s the only reason we stayed here was for the hot tub and it was broken. They should have told me this when I asked before making the reservation. The breakfast was really disappointing. No hot food other than make your own oatmeal. We didn’t even bother and had to buy breakfast. The pillows were awful. Oddly shaped square like pillows. And the bed was not comfortable. The only good thing was the pool was warm enough to swim in, which we have found many heated pools to be too cold but this one was nice.

Some of these reviews or ridiculous I stay here and absolutely love it. Working in the oilfield my room is clean daily and they serve hot breakfast. Not sure what all the crying is about but I've never had an issue here. The desk staff is very professional and friendly.
