Such a disappointment Where to begin? Shabby furniture, faded curtains, terrible mattress, squeaky bed, thin walls, so hot in room during October with 43 degrees outside, we still had to open a window all night long. Hardly anything for breakfast. No seating in immediate area where food table is set up, with no signage saying another room could be used that is also an office. Just one of the worst experiences we have had.

Stay at the Simsbury 1820 House! The Simsbury 1820 House is a charming inn located right on the main thoroughfare of Simsbury, CT, a lovely, historic town. The inn location made it very convenient for our family and members of the bridal party to stay here for an August 2024 wedding. Set up and back on the lovely property, the inn even was very quiet for all our activities, including a rehearsal dinner and day-after-wedding brunch in the fabulous Soma Grille, which has a location right inside the inn! The inn is part of a three-property business, and there is a terrific event coordinator for the trio of inns who helps in making everything happen if you are planning a special event. The 1820 House worked just right for some of our family wedding events and accommodations, and we are so glad that it did! Each member of the staff was incredibly gracious, friendly, and helpful. We loved being greeted each time we left and returned because of wedding-related activities. Having coffee/tea. etc and some light breakfast foods in the parlor was so convenient and relaxing. The outdoor porch was a great place to "hang' before, in between, and after wedding festivities. Our rooms were very comfortable and, like the rest of the inn, have a terrific historic feel. We must get ourselves one of those stunning floor-to-ceiling mirrors! We can't wait to return! Do consider staying at the Simsbury 1820 House, and let couples, their families, and their friends know this could be a wonderful setting for their wedding and/or wedding-related events! It's a wonderful place to stay for ANY reason! J & T

Perfect for our anniversary Went here, I live in CT near the hotel but never knew it was here. Had a great view and dinner for our anniversary, and the hotel room was very historically charming. We thought it was very romantic and the staff was very nice. May check out their other hotels in the area

Nice but nothing exceptional This hotel has a lot of potential for a fabulous stay, and the house and rooms are fantastic. The welcome was not very warm. Overall, nice stay but nothing special. The breakfast isn’t worth staying for. Served in a room without enough room for everyone to eat. Most food served under plastic wraps.

Girlfriend weekend! This was such a quaint historical house. Our room was spacious. It was easy to pull the curtains and make it very dark for sleeping. The bed was super comfy. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic and they have an excellent restaurant on site. So glad we stayed here.
