A home away from home. I have been going there for over 50 years with my family , and now our family. It’s a great place to stay. It’s right in the center of Solvang . 1 block from the Theatre , PCPA theaterfest is a must when visiting Solvang . The free breakfast has juice and milk and free Solvang pastries. A great place to stay.

Quiet and clean Excellent stay at King Frederik. We stayed 2 nights. Very, very clean room and quiet. We had the deluxe with a small patio looking to the pool. A big bonus was the free Homedics Sound Spa to help sleep. Another plus for us was all channels DirectTV with the History channel. We don’t get History at home. We would definitely stay at the King again. We visit Solvang at least once a year even tho it’s a long drive for us living in San Diego. Also-be sure and eat at AJ Spurs Steak house.

Excellent location and value Perfect location good value clean friendly easy and close parking. I would highly recommend. Nice pool area. In the heart of town and walkable to everything. More than a 2 star - more like a 3. Good continental breakfast in the lobby. Go for sure!

The Best! We love the King Fredrick! We’ve been staying there for 40 plus years. The staff is warm and welcoming. The location is great, super walkable. Our favorite thing is the beautiful pool, it’s clean and a perfect temp, with lots of chairs and tables to lounge in. The rooms are nice and are cleaned daily. Great amenities include, filtered water from the sinks, continental breakfast every morning, well priced items such as water and snacks in the lobby and much more. Highly recommend!

Stumbling distance in Solvang This hotel has a family owned feel the moment you check in. Wonderful location that's very centrally located. It's a vintage property but we found it to be well maintained and very clean. The hottub was a treat after walking around all day. The had a little continental breakfast with local pastries, coffee and juice. They also offered apple sauce and yogurt. The pastries looked store bought but I assure you they were rich and buttery. Not too sweet. This time of year Monday and Tuesday things seemed to be closed. There is a farmers market on Wednesday. The bus station is right next to the hotel and runs to wine country and Los Olivos. For me Solvang is a one night town but highly recommend the experience to everyone looking for adventure.
