Wow! Not in a good way...... I was hoping for much better, given the Hilton name.... Just this past weekend (8/9/2024), the room is just filthy (Room 206). The carpet is dirty, the furniture is so worn and dirty, that the arms of the couch/chair feel sticky. I truly expected much better, since I paid for a two-room suite ($300+) per night. I'm a rewards member too! Awful, is my description of my stay. If it was $59 per night, maybe. However, we left feeling dirty. The shower has rusty and mold spots. The silicone caulking is not covering anything but more mold. The toilet is loose from the floor, banging each time you sit down on or get up from it. It's poorly caulked down also, making noise as it fills. The elevator is right next to the room and constantly makes noise with every movement it makes. We were wondering that it might not get to the next floor. Compounded with the excessive noise from the street and fast-food place next door, we barely got any sleep at all. I'm sad to even have to write a review like this, but I've got to let others know. Honestly, we deserve a "full" refund, just for staying. I cannot handle any confrontation, due to medical conditions, so I didn't complain. However, I had to call for reservations, at a different hotel, for the remainder of our vacation, the following several nights (8/10-8/11/24). I couldn't bring myself to eat breakfast there, with everything else I saw. This was absolutely sad and not worth the money at all.! Reviews by me through my personal email were left unanswered. Maybe they're embarrassed? I would be too. I noticed what seemed like two Managers speaking with an employee, in the main sitting area. I overheard something performance issue related. Perhaps they are making the much-needed changes, but it will still take some time and investment, for all the corrections needed here. F.S.

Comfortable and great location I slept so well at this property and I usually have a hard time away from home. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. It looks like the hotel is an old property which has been renovated. However, it still has the Hilton consistent quality. I would definitely stay here again and recommend. It is 2 miles from downtown South Haven and the beaches. You can also walk to Culvers and there is a Walmart plus a Meijer nearby.

Nice hotel but no soundproofing Overall the hotel is clean, the staff was friendly, and the pool and hot tub are great. The free breakfast is also a nice perk. The noise level was really bad during our stay. The soundproofing between floors and walls is non-existent. The first night of our stay, someone woke me up at 4am with a bunch of pounding overhead. Sounded like they were pacing back and forth with heavy work boots on. The second night, a family with a baby was next door to us and the baby was crying and carrying on past 11pm. We had an adjoining room and there is NO soundproofing between those doors. It’s like the people next door are in the room with you., I will never return to this hotel due to the lack of soundproofing and the fact that I value my sleep and the sleep of my daughter. Next trip willl be an Air BNB.

Hampton Inn saves the day! Let me begin by saying that staying at this hotel had not been in my original plan, but it turns out it was a lifesaver!!! Originally I had booked the Comfort Inn in South Haven, only to find out just hours before we arrived with our dog, that the Comfort Inn no longer welcomes pets unless they are service animals. Luckily I was able to cancel the other reservation free of charge once I explained the situation, but that left us with very few possibilities of places to stay in the area that allow dogs. My friend, who works for Hilton, suggested that I find a Hampton Inn because many now allow dogs for a fee. I was able to book a room just hours before arrival at the pet-friendly Hampton in South Haven for a very good weeknight rate. The room we received was had 2 queen beds, a small desk/table, and a spacious bathroom with tub and shower. Bed was very firm, but comfortable. Towels were thick and there were plenty in the bathroom to meet our needs. They put us at the end of the hall by the door. so it was really easy for us to take our dog outside. Breakfast in the lobby included waffles, egg/cheese omelettes, sausage patties, breakfast potatoes, pastries, cereal, fruit, milk, juice and coffee. The breakfast attendants were very friendly and kept things full. The only complaint we had about our entire stay was that our room smelled musty and the floor felt damp, but it was unclear why. I easily overlooked this because I was just so happy and relieved that we had a nice place to stay with our dog on such short notice. I am very thankful for our stay at Hampton Inn South Haven.

Old and tired hotel most up to modern standards. This is an older Hampton Inn that has seen better days .Shower was broken and didnt work properly .Furniture in the room was worn and old from the 1960,s.Parking lot needs paving .hotel was busy because of the Holland tulip festival so the breakfast choices were limited.Quite expensive (185$) for this location .We will not stay there again .
