Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, South Haven, MI

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel was filthy do not stay here! Carpet was stained mold and hair in bathroom ac did not work properly Toilet seat broken remote broken tub slippery. Mgmt would not give refund of any kind. Always liked country inn and suites not this one. Room 303

Stay somewhere else! Stayed one night. First room the bed had not been changed. Sheets full of sand, grass and dirt. Black mold in the bathroom. Girl at the front desk too busy to look at it. We packed up and headed back to the front desk. Put into a different room. Desk chair broken.

Disappointed As soon as we pulled into the parking lot I knew it was not going to be anywhere near that good. Weeds were growing in the cracks under the entry canopy and the landscaping was in dire need of care. The elevator was very dirty. The ceiling in the bathroom obviously had recently had drywall repaired on the ceiling and was not cleaned well after the repair. There were small piles of drywall sanding dust on the tub and grab bar. Wallpaper was peeling at a couple of places on the bathroom floor. Ice machine on the 2nd floor was not working and has not been working for some time as there was a Label Maker sticker on the machine saying to get ice on the 1st floor. They obviously had time to make a Label and not enough time to phone someone to repair the machine. In the morning I had the worst cup of coffee I have had since I was in the military. There was not any ice cubes for the warm juice that came out of the juice dispenser. There are very few tables in the breakfast area and we had to share a table with someone else. We are not picky people however we found the Comfort Inn at South Haven one of the worse Comfort Inn's that we have ever stayed at.

Not recommended The carpet was very dirty, chigger/bedbugs left dozens of bites on my ankles/legs as well as my wife. Bathroom toilet did not flush well. No one was at the front desk when we checked in or when we checked out. During the day no one was at the front desk. Price was $75 lower than any other motels in the area, TV was snowy and not clear. Room was quiet.

Kind staff, unacceptable room We travelled to South Haven for a wedding and chose this property for the proximity to the venue. The hotel was kind enough to let us check in early and the staff at the front desk was very nice. The lobby and common areas were spotless. Our room reeked of mildew. We cranked up the air conditioner, hoping it would go away. It did not. When we got home the next day, our bags and jackets still smelled of mildew. There was a stain on the desk chair, which was disgusting. The window treatment would not open and as you can see from the picture, was cracked. Extremely disappointing stay and quite unacceptable, especially for the price point.
