Great location The good: Location, location. Situated right next to the Heavenly Gondola and many restaurants. Music nightly in the courtyard and the bands are excellent. Concierge is helpful (a few of the staff much better than others). Walking distance to Starbucks, restaurants, grocery (Raleys) and hikes, casinos. Bad: Only valet park car so plan ahead ...at busy times can take an hour to get car. Restaurants get crowded in walking distance so plan a small wait time. Pool is crowded and not enough umbrellas. Grills can get crowded in the evening. Our room was on the top floor, extremely quiet but very stuffy. We had the engineer come twice to look at air conditioner.. Always had it on 65 but felt like 75. We finally got them to bring a fan and that help. Small vent in bedroom which is not a good design. Bring laundry soap, they provide for two loads. Plenty of dish soap but only four of each dish in kitchen so ran dishwasher daily. The room was clean but not well dusted.

Bucket list vacation__ Starting with the greetings from the front desk, to the valets and staff they all made our vacation wonderful. The resort itself was clean, lovely decor all around and well taken care of. Lake Tahoe should be on everyone’s bucket list and Marriott Timber Lodge will bring it over the top.

Great Experience Had four rooms (the small lock-off one bedrooms) for six nights celebrating our anniversary with family. Sanford at the front desk was exceptional arranging all rooms on the same floor which was so appreciated. He set the standard for the stay and the rest of the staff and service was at the same high level. Needed a bath mat for the bathroom--delivered within 30 minutes. Extra towels? Same delivery time. Just wonderful. From the pool staff to the valet parking folks (yes, $29./day) everyone was friendly, professional and efficient. These folks battled the craziness of the Covid and won!

Understaffed and Underwhelmed The biggest problem with this hotel right now is staffing. No cleaning, long lines at the front desk, valet parking backed up for 1/2 mile (literally) and most things closed. Even with staff, the rooms are mediocre. The beds are hard and mattresses worn out. Hair in the drain, no garbage service, and poor water pressure. Good location for skiing, but the views are non-existent. Bottom line, I'd steer clear of this place and definitely would not buy here. Thing that is the most frustrating is that they still charge premium prices ($30 for parking) but don't provide premium service. Disappointing.

Poor experience! I am a Titanium Elite member and I was told over the phone by the front desk I would be upgraded to a gondola view room. When I arrived I was then told they didn’t have any more of those rooms. They said they would give me a pool view room on the third floor. When we got to our room there was a scaffolding that stretched the entire length of all the windows so that our view of the pool was completely obstructed. I then later went to the front desk to request a room change and they told me there were no more rooms available. In addition the King bed mattress was hard as a rock. Lastly, I do understand that we are on the backend of the COVID crisis and social distancing but I was never told the jacuzzis required a reservation that had to be made the morning of at 8:30 am. I made this reservation months ago and to have this experience is just not acceptable.
