Stardust - great vacaion Great Vacation. The staff was excellent. The resort is really nice. The location is great. It is close to the lake and close to the casinos. Kenny is the manager and was a great help. We enjoyed hiking and eating at the many restaurants nearby. Resort is pet friendly and we took advantage to it with our dogs, there was a dog beach nearby that we went to a few times. we used the barbeques on site and had a great family bq. Resort has bikes for the guests to use. A lot of shops nearby. Free coffee and popcorn all day every day. Nice donuts and coffee and more every morning. Went to the Magic show at Harveys. Great show Alex Remon and his dog MJ. Always have to great time. thank you, Stardust, see you soon. Les

Great stay, great location! Stardust is always a wonderful experience! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and many included amenities ( pools, jacuzzi, bicycles, great continental breakfast offered daily). we are in walking distance to the casinos, returants, and things to do. Heavenly Village is right across the street with fine restaurants (Kalani's Hawaiian cuisine is fantastic) and activities.

Stardust is Ta'HOME Front desk staff, Montse and Jessica are always very pleasant from answering the phones, to checking in, to accommodating any questions or concerns during our stay. Luis is awesome with answering reservation questions too! Always prompt and efficient. Also, the grounds and housekeeping staff are always polite, friendly, and helpful as well. And what would the Stardust be without Kenny?! Kenny has helped maintain a Must Stay Vacation Destination in beloved South Lake Tahoe. Finally, we love the popcorn! First things we go for when checking in.

Best Location and deal in South Lake Tahoe Beds are comfortable, kitchen fully supplied, breakfast included . Location can't be beat, best in South Lake Tahoe. Activities staff, Victor and Elizabeth, do a great breakfast and keep you busy if you want activities. They are both so friendly. Great pool and spa. Love this place.

Not worth peak prices, good off season It was my mistake that I stayed in South Lake Tahoe in peak summer season, I did not realize what a party/casino town it is, and that the lake is gated off. You have to pay to go to the lake during the day, at night it's locked up - no moonlight stroll on the beach, no sunset walk to dip your toes in the water. We payed top dollar to stay at the Stardust, and it's just not a top dollar place. If I had payed the off season prices I'd be much happier. But paying over $300 a night (after taxes and fees) for a room without air conditioning, sleeping on a pull out sofa bed with an inflatable mattress, made me regretful. Some of the things that drew me there just had corners cut too far. There's coffee in the morning, but only powered creamer. The "breakfast" is very minimal and of the cheapest quality. The free laundry only had a few time slots open a day, and you had to sign up ahead of time. The earliest laundry time is 10am for some reason, so you can't do laundry before you check out. I read about cookies but didn't see any (but there was popcorn). The games and events were one bingo session the day we arrived, and nothing the next day (they don't have any on Sundays, despite advertising that they take place 7 days a week). Again - if I was paying $150 this would be fine, but for $300+ I want some milk or half and half for my morning coffee. The location is probably what people go for, and it was convenient to be able to walk to dinner. We didn't go to the beach because of the fee, we drove to Emerald Bay instead, which was incredibly beautiful. There was a helpful binder of recommendations in the room, and it was great to have a full-size refrigerator and freezer as well as a little stove. Our bathroom had been recently remodeled, and was very nice and very clean.
