Better Every Time. Being one of the dozens of Winter Texans who returns every year; except for Covid (Canadian border restrictions);I am both evidence and witness to the consistently high standards of both the hospitality and the work ethic of the staff. My companion;who owned and managed her own hotel for many years is amazed at the cleanliness from the daily efforts and apparently high morale among staff in all areas -house-keeping,maintenance,front desk ,restaurant ,bar ,grounds through to management The hotel has made and continues with many improvements and -additions to the pool and deck area. Inside the bar and restaurant have this year again inproved the breakfasts and dining experience.Continuity of staff is appreciated by return guests and friends in the community recommend the Hilton Garden to guests and as a coveted. place for employment.

My Favorite Mom's Place Took my mom to stay at her favorite beach place and choose the Hilton Garden Inn because I'm a Hiltons Honors. Room was great but me my mom didn't sleep at all with the people in to rooms across ours were up all night slamming doors and very noisy. Left as early as 5 am letting front desk know what happened and price was very high just for less than 11 hour stay. As we were leaving went back in to let desk person know they were still up on balcony vey loud. My mom is ill and just tp give her something she has loved is being at the beach to enjoy and not worry about her illness.

Gut wrenching sham at Hilton property Went for four days with my wife and 20 lb dog. Prior to the vacation, dog was groomed, bathed and nails filed. Also, dog required 3 medications for a cyst, none of which would impede his activity. At all times the dog was on a leash on the property and beach. Day 1 was a fun day. Dog played in the sand and water on the beach. Day 2 ,left room to go to the beach and bypassed a maid with her cart. As dogs do, he wanted to play with her. My wife pulled him by the leash and we continued to the elevator. Approximately 90 minutes later, the Hilton desk contacted my wife, asking that we stop by the desk at our convenience. Ten minutes later police and animal control arrived on the beach stating that the dog had bit the maid and had video. Police issued a citation of $280.00 and explained that because of the accused attack on the maid that he would have to be quarantined for 10 days, even though we provided proof of all vaccinations, including rabies. They took our dog to an animal shelter on the island whereby he was not to have any contact with any human or dog. He was confined to a cage for 10 days without being let out. He had to eat and do his "business" in the cage. We provided the shelter his medications and prescription dog food. When asked how feeding would be accomplished without human contact, we were told the medication and food would be pushed through an opening for the dog. After 51 hours, we checked on his progress and were told he had not eaten or taken any of his medication. We were provided by Hilton a video of the incident and the "so called scratch" on the maids thigh. The "so called scratch" was reported to Hilton about 1 hour after the incident by the maid. The "scratch" looked more like a mosquito bite. When confronting hotel management we were told it was absolutely a scratch but when asked who determined it was actually a dog scratch and not a scratch incurred while cleaning someones room, they refused to give me that information. Nor would they allow me to see the "scratch" for myself. After 51 hours of numerous phone calls we were able to move the dog to a private house for the quarantine period. This was due to the fact he was not eating or taking his required medication. We had to find a house that was approved by animal control where he had to be on a leash at ALL times and confined to the house. When being let outside, the home had to have a fenced in yard and he had to be leashed in the yard. He could not be taken for walks or leave the premises. We were subjected to "at random" checks by animal control. This was an additional cost to us for $2500.00. Hilton made no effort to help in the resolution of this and became "judge and jury" in stating that the dog absolutely was the culprit of the "scratch". The video was inconclusive as to the maids claims. 10 days from hell! Stay away from this Hilton.

Great hotel, stayed an extra night Trip started out with my parents and I going up to our room to find it open, so we didn’t feel comfortable entering because we didn’t know if anyone would be in there. So we go to the front desk and spoke to Joshua. He was very nice and understanding. He explained to us the reason why the door was open was because a pet had last stayed there so they did a deep clean and were airing out the room. Despite that, he went ahead and gave us another room. It was the same room, but better view since it was the fourth floor so it was definitely an upgrade. We had family staying in the Marriott a few hundred feet down the street, so we went there to hang out and both of our rooms were the best rooms you could get. I can comfortably say the room at the Marriott was bigger, nicer, and better decorated, but the Hilton was less crowded out by the pool so it was quieter. I also believe the bed at the Hilton to be more comfortable than that at the Marriott. And it was just a smaller hotel so easier to navigate. Hilton allows pets and the Marriott doesn’t, that’s why we stayed at the Hilton. Never tried the food at the Hilton, but we had the food at Bar Louie’s at the Marriott multiple nights and it was fantastic. After seeing the food at the Hilton, I’d much rather go to Bar Louie’s and suggest the same for anyone staying at the Hilton. The pool at the Marriott is also much nicer, it’s just really well done and impressive. But it’s also much more crowded and full of kids than at the Hilton. Overall I liked the Marriott more than the Hilton, but they don’t allow pets unless they’re full service animals. And despite my preference, the Hilton was still a fantastic hotel and made for an extremely comfortable half week stay. I’d certainly recommend staying here. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because of the direct comparison I had. If it didn’t exist, I’d give it 5. Amazing hotel and amazing staff, especially Joshua. We liked it so much we decided to extend our stay an extra night. Hope this helps someone!

Best overall, family friendly. Overall great place for families. The bad. As mentioned by others, this hotel will not honor your Hilton Status. You will only get water the day you arrive. They will not bother with giving you extra water regardless of status for any additional days, you will be charged for extra- where any other Hilton you get two per day. The pool is wonderful but man it’s scrape galore out there. I get it ! we don’t need folks slipping out there, but Please invest in buying extra coating for the pool because literally everyone I met at the pool had scrapes galore. The folks outside controlling the chairs wanted to overcharge me $80 when it’s $40 two chairs and an umbrella. Not cool. There should be pricing advertised. The cleaning ladies and folks at the restaurant were super nice. The ladies in the front - meh but then again , it could be they were having a bad day - so I don’t want to be super judgy! They could use vacay themselves. Matter of fact they should have an employee vacation on the island to learn about the activities available for tourists because everyone I asked was oblivious and lost and had no idea nor suggestions. I know it’s not Miami but come on put someone who has experience at the front desk and not a novice. Everyone acted and seemed liked novices. We had a mishap where luckily Hilton came in clutch but I had to call it in and I don’t think the personally at the hotel knew who to handle th issues. In conclusion, just heed the advice. It’s a Hilton act like a Hilton.
