SUBPAR for even a hotel! Definitely NOT a Resort and SPA!! This was the worst experience I've ever had for a short family vacation. It clams it's a resort and spa, but gives you the service of a Motel 6 (sorry if I'm insulting Motel 6-I can only imagine it had to be much better). First, what kind of "resort" still uses double Full size beds? After we checked in and went to our room, we noticed the Main lamp didn't work, and the TV had no signal, so we had to call for maint right away and they took a long time to figure out how to get the TV working. By the next day, the TV lost connect again, and we didn't bother calling them again. We had 2 adults and 2 kids, and they only provided 3 towels. And they were always out. The day we arrived, they didn't have any Pool side towels available at all. So, we went to the pool, and what I think are supposed to be 2 jacuzzis/hot tubs, are ALL regular pool water, NOT heated. Buttons missing from where I think used to be the area to turn on the jets. So, no heat and no jets in either hot tub. The next day at the pool, you could only have 2 pool towels, and you had to turn them in by 10pm or they would charge you for them. When they cleaned our room in the afternoon, the maid service didn't have any towels on the carts. They had to bring them later since none were ready when they started cleaning rounds. So, you had to wait to shower before dinner for towels. And we asked for extra towels, since we really needed AT LEAST 4, but they DID NOT have any extras. >>>>When we asked the "Manager" about more towels for the room or towels for the pool, she said she didn't have any available and was thinking to stop providing towels for the pools since it was such an issue having them for the resort guest, and told me to bring my own towels!! >>> I was shocked. The pull out sofa was not very big, and the bottom part that pulls out didn't connect with the sofa, and it would move and split in the middle. I can't believe my 9yr old was able to manage to sleep on it since we put the chairs of the room to block it from moving apart. Luckily they were able to send up another set of sheets and a blanket for the pull out sofa bed at least. They do provide golf cart or laundry cart to help you move your things from the parking lot that is VERY FAR from the hotel. The bathroom was upgraded recently and LOOKS nice, but in our room, the shower drain didn't drain very well, and drains super slowly. Water starts making a pool by your feet of a couple of inches. All the walls, and hallways are very dirty and left without maintenance for years. AC units was rusted through on the outside. NO AC in the elevator, and very slow. *****THE MOST SHOCKING THING *****When I complained about the service, the lady manager said to us IN SPANISH that if we didn't like it WE COULD CALL HER PAPI, because it's his property. She wasn't in the least apologetic about the poor service, or condition of the hotel. And kept mumbling stuff in Spanish as i walked out the door. VERY Spoiled little lady and obviously has NO business running a hotel or working in customer service industry. Do yourself a favor and DON'T waste your money supporting this establishment.

Possibly The Worst Hotel I've Ever Seen. This place has the nerve to call itself a resort???  It's more like a multi-floor cheap motel.  Don't be fooled by the beautiful photos, this property is a DUMP.  They put us on the 4th floor.  Once we took the nasty, dirty elevator up, we were to enter this "mystery door" that led to another hallway, to get to our room.  VERY SCARY!   At the onset, we knew we wouldn't like it here -- the unsecured parking lot is about a quarter mile from check-in.  The unloading area is gravel and dirt, but it had been raining, so it was a muddy, gravely mess!  After bickering to get a refund (which we didn't), and calling and reporting all this to booking.com, we opted to stay at La Quinta Inn which was MUCH nicer, and we'll stay there again.  We never gave the room a chance at Peninsula.  We couldn't wait to get outta there, even tho we suffered the monetary loss.  Truly HORRIBLE!!

For what we paid, Nope, Is Not what they advertise!! Solicited as a home away/ air B&B with continental breakfast. Check in. You have to park about 750 yards from your room. 1 elevator. Non ac’d Front door to room so broken down that you literally must force through it, if you can get to open. Living space needs work, most everything warped, dirty and just old. Light switches dirty Pulled covers on beds down black hairs all over bedding. Sheets dirty Black hairs all over showers Blinds do not function properly Family of 6, towels in unit for a family of three. When we requested more from the front office they didn’t have any. 3 times Wifi is terrible, tried for 2 days to get it to work. Breakfast, Saturday morning 8:30 walked into restaurant area. Greeted with hello, we have cereal, bread and apple juice. We inquired about additional items and received no information. Inquired about a Bloody Mary and was told they couldn’t make it. Charged for pancakes for the little one to later discover pancakes were part of the continental breakfast. Beach service $40 a day, was a total mess. They forgot to charge their drill. Sat out there from 9:15-1pm no shade (after we paid). Beach restaurant on property (no short no service). 2pm Saturday still no drink service. Tried locating dumpster to dispose our trash. They only have individual cans. Will not be back and do not recommend

Not bad but definitely not the best. First and foremost, I am disappointed that the photos on the Internet show a building that doesn’t even exist on the resort. The middle, tall building hasn’t been built and from what the staff says, it has been in the planning stages for ages. This to me is false advertising. Secondly, the rooms are not soundproof. They are loud as heck! One good thing is that the maintenance people are constantly working on improvements; unfortunately, they will wake you up early with the hammering and drilling because again, the walls are made of paper. The showers are “new(ish)” but when you are bathing, the odors from the shower drainage are BAD, really disgusting. The curtains in the rooms are extremely inconvenient. They don’t work. The elevator smells horrible. Don’t be fooled by the lobby photos or the “spa.” Again, false advertising; they are just OK. The parking lot is another huge inconvenience. They need to at least build roads for guests to drive safely and organized. _ The pool is nice, not infinity, but nice and fresh. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help. That's a big star for me. Overall OK but they need to upgrade the place quickly or remove the model photos from the Internet.
