Excellent Although expensive (but perhaps not in comparison to other hotels in Portland), the Sheraton Sable Oaks was everything that a decent hotel should be. It is situated within an office park about five minutes from the airport, and on the weekend when we were there it was quiet despite a wedding. Our check in was smooth and professional, and the room was very clean and well laid out. There was a small fridge, a coffee maker, a comfortable bed, a large t.v., and plenty of power outlets. The bathroom was clean, modern, and well-lit. In short, it simply checked all of the boxes. Notably, despite the restaurant downstairs, there was no room service, but that may have been a result of covid. And if you are going there on business, there was not much workspace -: basically a round table and chair with the outlets in the center of the table. But we’d definitely go back if we were flying out of Portland again.

Clean, and Concise This hotel was exactly what you would expect from the pictures. Clean and for function. It is not in downtown Portland, but a uber or a drive in was not awful. We also had good luck with parking in Portland. There is not much to do in terms of "Portlandy" things around, more chain restaurants and such. But the hotel was clean and since we pretty much only slept there, that's a huge plus for me!

Well run hotel . Top notch Management team. Highly recommended. The General manager was very responsive to my questions and went above and beyond to please us. He responded to my phone calls very promptly and in a vey professional manner . He even makes beds because they cannot find housekeepers I was told by the front desk staff . The front desk associates are all smiling and very welcoming. The swimming pool is very nice and the bedrooms are very clean.

Prepare to BYO Everything-They should pay you to stay there! I will start off by saying I am a Bonvoy member and very familiar with hotel amenities across brands. I will start by saying this is not a cheap/discounted hotel, it is over $500 per night. So I have normal expectations, right? First, we prepaid for 2 rooms and confirmed via app and over the phone that we were coming. We arrived for a 4pm check-in at 4:45pm after a very long drive and our rooms were not even ready. We had to wait until after 6PM to get into the rooms. Kids at front desk (yes, kids) seem untrained. Upon check-in the rooms were OK and clean. That was the end of the honeymoon. There was NO housekeeping whatsoever! Zero. A 5-day stay and our beds were never made. Trash was not emptied. We never got any clean towels-NONE over 5 days.No coffee refill, no soap, no shampoo. No one ever came to our room! Two days into the stay and we returned to our 2 rooms in the evening to find no clean towels and unmade bed, trash piling up. The front desk said there was "no housekeeping due to COVID". Is this a joke? Stop using COVID as an excuse. So where is my discount for no housekeeping service? Don't play games with customers.

The Good and the Bad First, The Bad....The front desk managers really need to pay attention. Being a Platinum Titanium Lifetime member, I suspect front desk clerks look at that when you check in. Many Marriotts acknowledge dedicated customers. Not only did they not see my preferences, but managed to put us in the smallest room, right outside of the elevators. When I called down, it took forever to change rooms, never apologizing for giving me the worst room in the hotel. I get it, its not Marriott, but now that you are part of the Marriott family, please take some classes to learn the proper way to support lifetime customers. Now the Good....No......GREAT. The restaurant in the hotel was the best food I've had in a long time, and I do spend a lot of time in restaurants. The food was fantastic! Which leads me to wonder "What is this chef doing working in a level 3 hotel?". From the main course to desert, attention to details was fantastic, Great job. Sheraton, if you were smart you would do whatever you can to hold on to this person. The restaurant can actually make a 'blah' hotel stay into something more bearable.
