One of a kind The Montvale hotel is truly one of a kind. We love that it’s not just like other hotel chains, rather it has so much uniqueness and charm. It’s our favorite place to stay. Close to all things downtown, it’s clean, the staff is amazing, and we always have a great experience.

Beautiful experience I wasn’t familiar with the Montvale Hotel, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I booked the Presidential Suite, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, with a welcoming entryway, high ceilings, a cozy den, a whirlpool tub, and my favorite feature—the fireplace. I visited Spokane in late October for a work conference and specifically chose this suite for the fireplace, which added such warmth and charm to my stay. The hotel foyer is unassuming, but once you reach the second floor, you’re transported into an experience. Each floor has its own unique, old-world charm, enhanced by the music softly playing throughout the hotel (though not in the rooms), which adds to the hotel’s personality without being intrusive. I also appreciated the hotel’s signature fragrance—pleasant yet subtle. The Montvale staff were incredibly accommodating and kind. The ideal location allowed me to walk to nearby restaurants and shops easily. I plan to return and will definitely request the Presidential Suite again. I also want to add, that after returning to the hotel from the conference I turned on the fireplace and curled up on the couch with a cup of tea, then I ended the evening with a whirlpool bath.

A night at the Montvale in Spokane We very much liked the hotel, with its brick walls and funky charm. It's walking distance from anything you'd want to visit in the downtown/riverfront area. The restaurant/bar in the cellar of the hotel was a great place to have a night-cap--just wish we had had the chance to have dinner. (The menu looked great, but we had already eaten.) The front desk staff offered us a slightly later checkout to accommodate our visit to a local event that would have put us back at the room right at 11:00; this allowed us to leave our bags there until after the event and to freshen up before hitting the road. We would stay at the Montvale again.

Best place in Spokane to stay! My wife and I have stayed here multiple times, and never been disappointed! They have a great gathering area on the second floor, it is filled with old charm, and multiple great restaurants and bars close by. Was less expensive than the big one down the street and has just as much Charm. It's our go to place to stay in Spokane, which we stay at several times a year.

Beautiful Historic Hotel with lots of charm! Historic hotel with lots of charm. Love all the beautiful unique furniture pieces through the hotel. I truly enjoyed having my morning coffee in the sunlight atrium. The rooms have very tall feeling with large windows taking in the views of the city. The gilded Unicorn restaurant was also extremely charming with excellent food and cockatiels. Truly an amazing experience. I will definitely be returning
