BED BUGS The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is great and very accessible. The view around is beautiful. The lodge itself is not good. The rooms and lodge grounds need A LOT of care. The lobby is old, needs to be cleaned up, and could use a nice remodel. It looked like the ceiling was leaking over the fire place_‍♀️. I also noticed several safety concerns around the property. The rooms are also dirty. The sheets had stains upon arrival and were not changed during our 4 night stay. My children had bites all over their body from what we through were mosquitoes _ but we were wrong it's BED BUGS. The dermatologist confirmed for both children _. BEWARE OF BEDS BUGS. The fan in our bathroom had a cover hanging off with exposed wires. The AC unit is extremely loud. Repairs need to be made on the stairs because they are a trip hazard. There are missing and broken tiles on the stairs, very dangerous. The hot tube doesn't work, the pool was very dirty and uninviting, there are only 2 lounge chairs by the pool. The ice machine doesn't work, and the grab-n-go breakfast is not good. It's a brown paper bag with an ultra processed microwave breakfast sandwich, an apple, and a sugary yogurt. The coffee station is OK. I would not stay here again. If you have a bigger vehicle, good luck because the parking spots are tiny. We drove a truck and had issues backing it out.

Great place close to park Cute quaint place. Room/bathroom was clean and comfortable. Pool was nice but cool. Very close to Zion entrance and walking distance to all the little shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly. Parking lot is a little tight but we always had a spot. Great place for a trip to Zion!! We’d stay here again!

This hotel is not worth the high price tag Zion was our last stop on a road trip from Canada to see Utah's National Parks staying in various hotels ranging from Hyatt to small independents. The Pioneer Lodge was our most expensive and most disappointing stay. The location was great and the beds were comfortable but that was about it. Starting with reception staff that didn't seem to care, a broken safe, large chunks of paint missing in shower, stained bed cover, actual holes in the towels, super loud air-con and almost non-existent wifi. But the worst part for us was the pool and hot tub were closed... and had been all of the 2023 season. It's now 2024 and it would have been nice to know that before booking. Not worth the $420 CDN we paid per night. Pay the extra to stay somewhere else.

Great value for the money! Not fancy but nice The lodge is convenient to everything. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The breakfast in brown bag with a frozen burrito (micro in the lobby), apple, yogurt & granola. Coffee is in the lobby but also in the rooms. I like that the bathroom area was set apart from the beds by a 3/4 wall. I liked staying in a historic lodge!

Stay elsewhere Janky. Bathroom was all beat up and showing black mold. Fridge didn’t work. Safe wasn’t screwed down but the coat rack was attached with a chain to the other furniture. Glad they got their priorities straight. Coffee machine and juice machines in lobby were broken. In room hair dryer was a joke. Advertised hot tub was closed. Linens were torn.Free Breakfast was a frozen breakfast sandwich and a small cup of yogurt, neither of which were options for dairy free. Uncomfortable beds. Could have stayed down the road for similar price. I wanted to complain at check out but the lobby isn’t even unlocked until 8am, way too late for early morning travelers. Zion was amazing but the room was over priced for quality
