Old and Out Dated… The room looked like it had not been updated since it was built… the couch was so greasy and oily and just over all gross..the carpet had stains and holes and dirty…the phone was from the 80s… bathroom was clean which was a plus but outdated and no blow dryer… the paint color was a mustard color and Ugly and the decor was outdated and room felt “dark”…the room also has a smell to it…

Not worth $120 per night. I stayed here once before for $80 and didn’t comment because it was a hotel room for $80. I figured I get what I pay for. My first observation, there are no usb ports to charge devices. Luckily, I carry a block. I like it cold, both stays, the room never got cooler than around 70 although I had the AC temp at 60. This stay, the bathroom floor’s cleanliness was questionable. The tub had a leak and dripped non-stop. I visited 5 floors looking for an ice maker, there was 1, it was empty. This stay, the base price was higher but I also chose to “upgrade” to the Pure wellness room. Do not waste your money on Pure. Thinking it would be cleaner and feel less damp than the previous stay. I was mistaken. The Pure was a portable air filter, a different remote, and the pillows had extra cases that said Pure wellness. There were no other noticeable improvements as there was dust on the drapes, dirty scuffs on the ceiling, tears on the wallpaper, and the carpet felt damp. The only 3 positives for the University Plaza is it is a quick walk to MSU campus, the Terrace Grill burgers and fries were reasonably priced, and most of the employees have been pleasant.

Outdated Rooms & Disappointed I do not remember the last time I stayed in a hotel room so outdated. I felt like I was in a room before cell phones and computers. The only electrical plug is in the corner. There is not even a light near the desk, or even an electrical outlet. I do not even have an outlet to plug in my CPAP machine. I do not think the air conditioner works, because it is hot in the room and I am miserable. Don’t let the fancy lobby fool you. Did I mention there is a hidden $15.00 resort fee that is not advertised until check-in. It will not be removed. There are better and nicer options. Very disappointing.

Awesome stay Excellent service and updated and clean room accommodations. I love the lobby with its bar in the center. I enjoyed all the banquet meals each evening and the restaurant for breakfast each morning. I make University Plaza my hotel for Springfield ever visit

Great stay Bed was comfortable. Attention to plumbing fixtures might need to be reviewed. Had difficulty with shower/bathtub water valve handle being stripped out. Difficult to turn to warm or hot water in room 710. The hotel staff was amazing and helpful.
