I expected better I made my reservation by calling Red Roof reservations. Upon check-in i was told it was a 3rd party site, which I didn't know. The woman checking me in said they didn't receive the special requests I made for 2 beds and first floor. I was traveling with my disabled son. I was told they had us in a king bed on the 3rd floor. Now I'm expected to sleep with my son. I was very angry. I think someone needs to look into the special requests not being addressed. If I was told in advance that we were getting a king, I would have booked anywhere else. It was only because a single woman was checking in after me and willing to give me her room with 2 beds and take the room with the king that things improved. I even checked other area hotels but everything was booked or very expensive. I picked this hotel because it got decent reviews and the price was fair. But since i made the reservation thru a 3rd party, i was not given any discount. I have stayed at nicer places for less than the $200 I paid here. The woman checking me in, one of the managers she said, was indifferent. She said I have no other rooms and here is your key. The hotel was clean, the shower pleasant. The bed was noisy with every move. I heard every footstep from the floor above. The towels were like sand paper. The breakfast area was small with an average selection of breakfast items. I actually liked the coffee. I think I'm going to avoid the Red Roof brand if this is an indication of what to expect.

Exceeded expectations! Exceptionally clean room and hallways. This Red Roof Inn looked new or recently renovated. Staff was friendly. Great experience from start to finish. Bed was very comfortable. Typical of this brand hotel, the bathroom towels were thin and small, but I am not holding this against them. Breakfast was typical for this brand. Very clean breakfast area and well supplied with warm food. This was a good value for the stay! Will stay again when we pass through the area. Appreciated that they welcomed our dogs. We did have to pay additional fee for additional dog, but happy with the cost/value. Location right off Interstate 70.

Pleasant Stay! We found this hotel yo be very nice. We had our dog with us and were treated well by staff. Very welcoming! The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The area was great to walk the dog. Felt very safe. Good selection of restaurants and gad stations all around. Definitely would choose Red Roof if I am in springfield Ohio again!

We'll visit again! We were very pleased with our stay. We loved that they didn't charge a pet fee, like some of the other hotels in the area. The rooms were clean and a nice size. We loved that there was a larger refrigerator and microwave in the room. We would have enjoyed a few more toiletries-there was a small shampoo and two small bars of soap. We didn't use housekeeping so perhaps they would have restocked them. Breakfast was provided in the cost of the room but wasn't overly appealing to us, so we had yogurt and juice one morning. The price was higher than other dates as Wittenberg University had homecoming (why we were there) and there was a dog agility show in town. Unfortunately, most hotels do this. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly, and we would definitely stay there again.
