Great hotel Very beautiful hotel. The rooms are incredible, and the food in the restaurant was very well made. This hotel is definitely a great place to stay for families with children, because the pool is amazing and has a great water slide. Super cool!

Best of the Maritimes The Algonquin is a beautiful iconic hotel. Everything was wonderful from the moment we pulled up to the grounds to the moment we left. We booked a room with a large terrace that overlooked the front grounds. I highly recommend this category of rooms, so you can enjoy room service breakfast on your own private patio, or a glass of wine in the evening. Also, I recommend checking out the public patio on the second floor. The water views from that patio are spectacular. The service at the hotel was fabulous! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The valet went above and beyond when we forgot about item in the car. There was even a cute ghost tour in the evening. I had three meals at Braxtons and every meal was delicious. The outdoor pool is lovely. My kids spent hours in the pool. It was great that there was a bar by the pool, but it would have been nice to have food service as well. The hotel was sold out on the weekend we stayed, so there were no Elite perks like late checkout or upgrades, but we still enjoyed our stay immensely. I look forward to returning next summer and would like to check out the beach at Katey’s Covd next time.

Lots of room amenities. Super clean hotel. The staff treated everyone like a VIP. Pet friendly. Truly amazing 5 stars from my whole family. Even the guests were so friendly definitely would recommend this resort to anyone who loves being treated like royalty. Fantastic Made my son's birthday super special

Surprised! My husband and I booked a long weekend stay at Algonquin. Without question the property is dated, but beautiful. It definitely has a resort feel. We understood, before booking that there were 2 resident dogs. However, we did not realize that so many guests had dogs, throughout the hotel (in the dining areas, in their rooms and all common spaces). Personally this was a major disappointment for us. We were trying to have dinner on the terrace Sunday evening and the table next to us had a small non stopped barking dog. They did nothing to try to stop it. It ruined our evening. Ironic, there is a sign that says “cannibis free property”. To bad there was not a “dog free zone” for those who are not dog lovers or who are afraid of dogs. Also, be aware of the multiple resort and accommodation fees. This added a significant amount to the total.

Saint Andrews Not For Night This is a review of Saint Andrews, not the Algonquin (I tried to no avail to review Saint Andrews). If you are looking for nightlife, don’t come here. They pride themselves on closing restaurants/bars at 9 PM. As a solo traveller, this was most disappointing.
