Guy Harvey Resort - Love his Artwork, but not the Hotel. I wasn't that impressed with the price. Everything seemed old and tired. Rooms with a view were minimal and the toilet in the bathroom felt like a childs. The food at the restaurant was overpriced and terrible. The chicken was undercooked. Drinks at the pool area were over-priced. Stay at a Hamptons and save your money.

Needs A "Face Lift" The 4th of July has always been to dear to my family's heart. We found this "resort" less than attractive. Although the lobby and bar area have been remodeled the rest of the entire site needs a "face lift." The carpet and rooms are very dated like you walked into the same carpet that was there in 1988. My parent's pool is larger than the one provider at this "resort". One saving grace was the interior bar...the food and beverage were amazing--I can not say the same for the Tiki Hut Area outside. The stay has made me never want to stay at this area of St Augustine ever again. Choose wisely my fellow travelers...I will for my next 4th of July vacation.

Great beach getaway This is a great place to stay while visiting St Augustine Beach. Rooms are always clean the location is great! beaches are clean and staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to help you out. Don’t forget to try out the restaurant there it is great!. The accommodations they have there for rentals right there is great also. We travel here a couple times a year and highly recommend this location.

Clean and On the Beach Our first visit. The location is great, a short walk on the boardwalk over the dunes. You can pay for a trolley tour though St Augustine and there is a pick up for it right in front of the hotel. You can rent an umbrella and beach chairs from the beach shack by the pool. Beach towels are complimentary. There is a restaurant on site (the sandwich I ordered was very good) and a bar by the pool. There is a play area with sand for the kids by the pool, though I did not see a shallow pool area. I may have missed it. The rooms did not have carpet a plus with sand. The beds were comfortable. The walls are a bit thin as we could hear people going up and down the hallway and a dog barking from across the hall through out the night. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and the lighted mirror was a nice upgrade. The staff were friendly. Definitely would return and recommend.

A visit beyond compare My high school friend and I spent several amazing days at the Guy Harvey Resort an simply loved it! The staff was warm, welcoming and always happy to engage us as we came and went on our adventures in the area. I had had a mother-in-law who lived nearby many years ago and was familiar with the area. However, staying right on the beach in this lovely resort was an experience in and of itself and one neither of us can wait to repeat! The resort is very handily located with many restaurants and attractions within minutes. But I will say that we ate every meal at the resort restaurant, the Santiago, and found each meal delicious and the service beyond compare. The one meal we ate elsewhere was disappointing and we were sorry we didn't stay with the Santiago! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Our balcony overlooked the beautiful pool and the amazing beach just yards beyond it. The only thing we would have changed about our stay was to make it longer! I would highly recommend this incomparably gorgeous location for anyone's visit to the St. Augustine/Anastasia Island area!
