Stayable St. Augustine

DO NOT STAY HERE I Arrived at 5pm for my 3pm scheduled checkin. Upon arrival there were guests showing pictures of the bathroom in their room demanding a refund due to how disgusting it was. Those guests also asked for another room and was informed no rooms were available. When I was checking in the front desk said the room was not clean and asked if I would like a refund or would like to wait until 7pm. I confirmed I could wait until 7. I was reassured that it would be ready at 7pm. We went back to the hotel at 7pm with the room key I was given for room 205 and there were still occupants. We went back to the front desk where we found the doors were closed with a “be back soon” note posted. At which time we found MULTIPLE angry guests with the same/similar problem. We attempted calling the front desk starting at 7pm-until 10:30pm with no answers. I’ve called everyday for a week. We have been unable to contact anyone for refund to a room we paid for that was OCCUPIED. We found the cleaning service employees to inquire about reaching the front desk. They were baffled. They stated it was their first day and the hotel was not being ran well. The cleaning service stated “go to Super 8 down the street, I wouldn’t stay here if I were you”. They told another guest “yes, we just cleaned your room however it’s still gross in there I wouldn’t stay there”. Stay anywhere but here.

Bad stay Not a place you want to stay for more than more than one night. I stayed for six nights and they cleaned my room once in six days. They replaced my towels once in six days. I was told they only clean long stay rooms every other day they never did. The internet was hard to connect to the password didn’t always work, it was slow and sometimes it didn’t work at all. Not a place you want to spend more than one night. .

STAY AWAY ... I was impressed by the location and the price .. there was a reason the price was so low .. it's the pits ! STAY AWAY .. FIND ANOTHER PLACE. The room had a very musty smell, the walls were dirty, the receptionist was rude, there was no breakfast or even a way to get into the lobby. All transactions were thru a window (like in a drive up fast food place). The hours that are posted both on the web site and the window WERE NOT HELD TO .. like no one could read a clock .. always late to open and early to close. When the shower turned on .. the water came out mostly thru the back of the tub nozzle, NOT THE SHOWER HEAD .. the shower head itself was not anchored and had a 3 inch play side to side .. neither the tub or the sink drained like they were almost totally clogged .. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CHEAP PLACE .. DON'T CARE WHERE YOU LAY YOUR HEAD .. OR .. THE CLEANLINESS OF THE AREA .. this place suits you just fine. me .. I wouldn't stay there EVER AGAIN .. AND SUGGEST YOU DON'T EITHER.

Best experience Khalid the front desk is the best guy ever he work something out for us and made sure we are good I absolutely recommend staying here, don’t mind what other reviews says cause non of that is true at all. Thanks Khalid &Kumar

Howard Johnson My husband and I are in the process of buying a home so we are staying in hotels. We have stayed in several different places since this began, but Howard Johnson on 16 in Saint Augustine, Florida has been by far the most pleasant experience, for the best price. Kumar and Khalid were the 2 gentlemen who checked us in and they were very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a room, as my husband and I plan to stay here until we purchase our home.
