Average Hotel: OK for 1 or 2 nights and if get reasonable price Cons: I booked through booking.com and sent them an email asking about city bus connections. I did not receive a reply until 7 days later, one day before I was supposed to arrive. I have used booking.com before, and I usually get replies in 1 to 3 days. I had phoned directly and the nice Front Desk person answered my question but I should not have to make long-distance calls. The room faced east and my friend found the street lights and early morning sun which came through the shutters and blind disturbing. When we complained at check-out, we were told you should have told us before and no one else has complained. Wrong answer. Right answer would be: " We will someone up to check shutters working properly and blinds not worn". They charge a facilities fee (booking.com includes this under taxes), but as the swimming pool and the coffee shop is not available, and lobby partially under construction, they should not do this. They said the facilities fee was for maintenance, but isn't that what the regular hotel charges should cover. Two small elevators for a large hotel; we usually found it faster to walk down from third floor. When we got to room, and realized it faced parking lot and street, asked if we could move to west side or higher room. Told hotel was full. It did not appear full and even if it was, this was 2 pm and surely not everybody had checked in yet. Unless so many people know about street lights and eastern sun, and ask specifically for west side. No safe. Furnishings OK but not as bright and colourful as on website. Two queen beds, but only two chairs in room, one desk chair and one easy chair. TV channel guide on television showed channels but did not say what was on which channel at what time. Good Points: One light on table between two queen beds. Asked for another light. They could not do that but came promptly and moved floor lamp so by one bed so we both had lights. Light on table between two beds had two electrical outlets. Person who came promptly nice. Could not get channel on television . They came promptly, also could not get it, and called provider who reset channel so available. Four drawers: good for 2 people, but maybe not four. Closet did not have door but had number of hangers. Had microwave and refrigerators. Near Freshco so could buy provisions for breakfast. Their own restaurant expensive but reasonably-priced Boston Pizza nearby.

Great Hotel! If you're planning a trip to the Niagara region, this hotel is an excellent option. The rooms are well appointed, the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. for business meetings, they have nice conference rooms. The bar and bowling alley were a nice surprise. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Served its purpose Decent hotel, good location. Convenient onsite restaurant and entertainment complex. Construction in lobby/pool but was not disruptive - was surprised to see them working on a weekend! Room was slightly dated and the bathroom was on the small side, but was suitable for our 1 night stay. Lesson learned and tip for others - if you wish to go bowling make sure you reserve a lane ahead of time!
