Overall very good. When I arrived early (2:30pm) they said it would be a 60.00 charge to get in the room due to early arrival, even though I'm a Boyd connected player. I spend a lot on slots too. I told them they never charge me at their sister property in Michigan City, IN. I guess it was because it was my first time here. Anyway I had the casino host remove the charge. The rooms are nice and big. Enjoyed the tub. The lighting is dim though and somewhat depressing. But very clean. They need to have different pillow types. A bit too fluffy for me. Played slots and did ok. Nice variety. I enjoyed the old school slots upstairs and highly recommend playing those to make your bank roll last longer. Good food at Copper Whisk. Left a little early, but I would come back here.

Unappreciated Patronage We are Boyd's Rewards card holders. We arrived a bit earlier than intended and enquired about checking in. We were told there would be an extra $60. charge for the 35 minutes, so we went to Hollywood Casino to gamble. We returned and checked in, went to the room, and it wasn't the king we had reserved they put us in a double bed room. Upon investigation, there was TP on the floor in the bathroom, fast food and a mess in the refrigerator, and a little black dress in the closet. I called the front desk and was told a king room wasn't available and they would send up housekeeping. I paid full price when I made my reservation afterwards I started getting emails about reduced hotel rates, which I was never able to book. We spent our time dining and gambling at Ameristar on our last evening we went to dinner for our daughter's birthday. We were at a restaurant on the Hill, I received a phone call (636-949-4300 at 7:52pm on 7/8) that they were going to tow our vehicle. My husband's truck had been parked in the oversized vehicle area with like sized trucks since we arrived. So we had to race back to Ameristar to try and avoid being towed. When we got back, the other like sized trucks were still parked there, and they were still there several hours later when we checked. Why were we singled out? My husband's truck has Illinois Veteran's license plates, and the other trucks were from Missouri. They had to know we were staying there since they called me. My husband moved his truck, and the antenna was hitting the inside of the parking structure as he moved very slowly and carefully to an open space. This trip, we gambled, dined at the supported Ameristar a great deal, but I don't feel our patronage was appreciated.

CJ Hotel Manager needs a attitude adjustment Expressing my deep disappointment with my recent stay at Ameristar. Despite being an Emerald member, the decision to commence construction at 4 am and persist throughout the day was astonishing. Spending significant money on accommodations and gambling should come with a reasonable expectation of enjoying the rooms, which was unfortunately not the case. During my stay last week, I was upgraded to a suite but couldn't relish it due to incessant drilling and hammering waking me up at 5 am. After voicing my concern, CJ Chris, the hotel manager, offered to move me to another room as a courtesy. However, the alternative turned out to be a musty handicapped room on the 24th floor, where the construction noise was even more disruptive. Frustrated, I checked out a day early. This experience has left me feeling dissatisfied, and CJ's response, suggesting I stay on weekends to avoid disturbances, was far from reassuring. For a purported 4-star diamond resort, such inconveniences and the lack of a suitable resolution are unacceptable. It's disheartening that my stay was marred by these issues, and I hope Ameristar addresses these concerns promptly to uphold the standard expected by its guests. As it stands, I'm reluctant to return unless these issues are effectively resolved.

Expert level extortion tactics. Absolutely the worst casino hotel ever. From the nasty, outdated rooms and facilities to the extortion pulled at check in to extract even more money from customers before they even make it to the cheesiest casino floor in MO. Hotel was basically dead, staff admitted rooms were ready but because of some greedy, money mongering, idiot’s “golden idea” the few people trying to check in were told to pay up or shut up. The chances of this place getting my money in the future were just flushed down the toilet. A little decent hospitality would have netted them way more cash than the $85 dollar room ransom they are demanding. Idiot level management decision to say the least.
