Slightly better than staying under a bridge......close at least! OK...pretty much a place to avoid. Dated....more than that. Disgusting? Yep! I spent three nights at this place with my children in July 2024. Just pretty much was gross. Nothing was clean. Nothing! We stayed in room 731. Suppose to be the nice one. All you hear is the elevator noise all night long. Sound like a train going through your room. The carpet is gross. There are two TVs, both were disconnected, and we had to reconnect them. The food is pretty much horrible. It made sense after we heard the manager telling his staff that everything is always saved (except the eggs) for the rest of the week. Most of the food is disgusting. Just horrible. We checked in on a Saturday and there was a multitude of trash on the ground between front parking lot and the lobby doors. On Tuesday when we checked out....still there. No reasonable GM would ever allow that. The bar chairs are worn and torn. Should have been replaced a decade ago or so. Overall....the place is rough and worn out. Stay at anywhere else. You will thank me for that later!

Great stay and location After reading mixed reviews, I decided to give it a try because it was the perfect area for our needs. The hotel was surprisingly very accommodating, clean, and was a great stay! The free nightly light appetizers need some work, as well as keeping the breakfast buffet stocked, but the woman who worked the omelette station the first morning of my stay was Fantastic! She was so delightful!

Not what it used to be, need of some attention to detail Recently had a 3 night stay at the St. Charles Embassy Suites. Room and amenities were very good, clean and everything functioned fine. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it left a lot to be desired. We ordered our dinner and after an hour we still haven’t been served. Asked the server and she asked what we ordered. About ten minutes later the food arrived. The hamburger I ordered was not good at all. Burger King and Wendy’s are far superior. The next morning had breakfast n the lobby. Had to sit in the bar area. All the seats in the bar area are worn out and all of the seat coverings are split and breaking open. They really look bad. Management needs to address these issues. Appearance means a lot to guests.

Not up to par This is the second morning in a row with no cooked to order eggs. Just leaving empty omelettes and their ingredients out is not fresh to order eggs. The woman at the station Tuesday was the best, the guy the next day was scary, running after fellow employees for being too loud by his station. And the evening reception is basically only good if you drink alcohol, the snacks are literally goldfish, packaged stale cookies, pretzels, trail mix. We also didn't get our free water upon arrival, no instructions on how to get on their internet, no maid service (seems as if you have do not disturb on the door after 8am they just skip you daily). I used to like embassy suites when they had fabulous breakfasts and decent snacks. They now need to take lessons from other competitors with the same amenities at a higher quality, even Drury Inn across the street is a step above. They need to find at least 50% better staff.

Good Stay for a Baseball Tournament My son had a baseball tournament in St.Louis, and this was one of the preferred hotels offered by the tournament. For the most part, exactly what you’d expect from an Embassy Suites. Plenty of sleeping space for my family of four (including a young adult and a teenager.) Comfy beds. Good bathroom. Safe location. Plenty of parking, although a lot of it is toward the side and back of the hotel. We stayed 3 nights. Unfortunately, we were only able to take advantage of the great breakfast once. My son’s team had early morning games twice, and we had to leave before breakfast hours. The only negative was the front desk staff we encountered. Check-in was great. However, I later asked for recommendations about transportation to a St. Louis Cardinals game. The person at the desk was not interested in helping at all. I was more bothered by the person’s dismissiveness than his inability to help. Very grateful for a late checkout so my son could get cleaned up after his last game and before we hit the road. The hotel is super close to tons of good restaurants and the historic section of St. Charles.
