Perfect for us in every way ! We stayed here last year in a Seagrape beachfront suite and loved everything about Spice Island, our return was even better. We were met on arrival by Damian in the Bentley, the welcome back from the staff was lovely and our Seagrape suite perfect in every way. This was a belated milestone birthday for me and on arrival there was a birthday card and a chilled bottle of champagne in our suite, a very nice touch. The recent refurbishment of the public areas is stunning, beautiful muted natural colors connect the hotel to the beach and surrounding grounds, Wow! We loved our daily walk to the end of Grand Anse Beach and back every day, we’ll never tire out that beautiful walk. The food, whilst good last year has improved under the direction of the new chef to excellent, we had no complaints whatsoever! The staff all deserve mention, always a smile, nothing is too much trouble, the beach service is a lovely touch, with drinks, ice cold flannels and ice popsicles regularly throughout the day. The evening turn down service was the equivalent of the suites being fully serviced twice a day, amazing ! Our drop off at the airport on our departure was in the hotels 7 series BMW was a lovely final touch. Thank you to everyone at Spice Island for making this the perfect holiday in every way, will will certainly return in 2025.

Perfection in the Caribbean We have never stayed in a more perfect resort and we have traveled a lot, including to a number of other Caribbean islands. From the moment we arrived and looked through the entrance to see the beach and ocean beyond, to the moment we left, the service we received here was nothing short of excellent. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for the team here and everyone greets you with a huge smile and your name. We loved the food at breakfast, lunch and dinner and, in most cases, it was just a struggle to choose which option to take, although, if you had asked, I am sure they would be happy to give you every dish on the menu to try !. It was great to meet the new Head Chef, Mr Ramces, and it was very kind of him to take the time to come out and talk to us when we had our honeymoon meal on the beach. Although the a la carte menus are fantastic, one particular food highlight for us was the Sunday BBQ buffet with superb salads and beautifully grilled fish and meats, and we did think that perhaps this could have been more than once a week and possibly to have one evening. The shrimps here are incredible and it is great to be able to add these to the caesar salad at lunch time if you feel extra hungry. Service all day is excellent and just laying on the beach or around the pool you will be offered a cold towel, ice lollies and, of course, cocktails at anytime of the day. Everyone working at the resort was so friendly and always happy to give you any information you needed. I am afraid we did not catch everyone's names, but Seymour and Crystal on reception and our absolutely lovely server Katrina, deserve special mention. Fabian is the excellent Guest Services manager who is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about everything. The rooms and every part of the resort was immaculate and the 'turn-down' service was basically the equivalent of getting your room completely serviced twice a day. The gardens are incredibly well-maintained and the flora and fauna are incredible. It is definitely worth doing the garden tour and the head gardener (Damian, we think) was very knowledgeable. We both used the spa for a message, it was excellent, and we really enjoyed the Spice Fit walk/workout to Quarantine Park. We got 'room envy' and we actually paid to upgrade to a beachfront Seagrape suite for the second week, and although we loved our first room, this was a completely different experience and well worth the extra cost. Outside of the resort we visited St Georges, a pretty capital and certainly worth a couple of hours visit, (at least 1 hour in the Chocolate shop !!). We also had a 6 hour day trip around the island seeing a waterfall, Grand Etang National Park, Belmont Estate and then the River Antoine Rum distillery, (excellent, as they still make the rum the way they did in 1785 when it started). The beach itself as about a perfect as you could wish for and we did an almost daily walk right to the end to feel we had earned our food and drink. We loved Grenada, but most of all we loved Spice Island Beach Resort and cannot recommend it highly enough. Congratulations to the management and whole team for making this a completely unforgettable experience for us.

Why Spice Island Beach Resort is Exceptional! Nearly every resort has beautiful looking photos of the rooms, the pool, the beach, restaurant and so on and Spice Island Beach Resort (SIBR) offers the same. But let me tell you why this resort is ABOVE and BEYOND the other resorts we have stayed throughout the Caribbean. Number 1 is service. Every customer service person, manager and server called us BY NAME with a smile without introduction. This started the moment we exited the 7 series BMW that brought us from the airport to SIBR and this continued all day every day no matter where we went, we were always addressed by our last name...how do they all know us by name??? Yeah, never had that happen at any resort. Second, the food was impeccable! Small portions (it's an all-inclusive so we could always ask for more) with a beautiful presentation and highly sophisticated - it was anything but your typical "resort" food as each menu item was prepared by superb chefs - not just cooks assembling food…it was pure artistry. The pace of the meal courses (5) coming out was perfect and left us with a very satisfied feeling. Remarkable! Third, the little touches in the room and the resort showed and air of class and attention to detail not found in your average resort. Examples include a bidet in each room, a glass for mouth-wash mounted one a wall holder, an in-room weight scale, Frette brand Turkish towels (very high end brand of plush towels), turn down service with a cloth math placed at bedside and live tropicl plants in the room! The guest experience manager stopped by almost every meal to ask how our stay was going and who escorted us through the lunch buffet before departure and held each plate for as we pointed out the items we each wanted for our "to go" box for the airport. Note, that pressed coffee is also served at breakfast, along with Perrier and variety of exotic fresh squeezed juices. Last, here's one more experience. One night, we stopped to sit and listen to an excellent live band on a very warm and humid night...a staff person came by and turned on a fan and mister. Then when it started to rain, the pergola louvers closed automatically to block the rain! Better yet, staffers showed up with umbrellas to escort or provide umbrellas to anyone needing them to get back to their room! Yeah, first class service right there. This resort has but 64 suites and two restaurants but is packed with service and excellence. This is the place for sun, air, beach, water, rest and relaxation in 5 or 6 Diamond resort. Worth every penny paid!

Oustanding stay at Spice Island Resort This was our first visit to Grenada & I'm so pleased we chose Spice Island Resort. From the moment we arrived to the sad day we left, everything was top class. The outstanding staff made our stay very special. Shout out to Fabian for arranging top quality deep fishing & island trips for us & Lindora for keeping our glasses refilled! We loved the boutique hotel feel with many quiet areas to relax. Not forgetting the tranquility of the spa where I had one of the best back massages ever! Thanks Spice Island Resort, I hope we return one day soon. _

A truly spectacular and wonderful experience. Wow, wow, wow!!! From the moment we arrived and saw the view from the entrance through to the ocean, this hotel was simply wonderful in every possible way. What makes it so special are the staff many of whom have been there for 10 years+ and who go out of there way to provide outstanding service. With the sad passing of Sir Royston Hopkin, the hotel is now run by his daughter Janelle who like so many of her staff made every effort to get to know to us and other guests. We stayed in a beautiful Seagrape Beachside suite looking straight out to the magnificent Grand Anse beach. The room was spacious and nice touches included robes, a mini bar that was replenished every day, fresh sheets every day and on the terrace it had a hammock and loungers if you didn't want to venture to the pool or other areas of the beach where again chairs were available. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully kept and we very much enjoyed a tour given by the head gardener and Fabian Mitchell, the very charismatic and wonderfully helpful and informative Guest Experience Manager. The tour also took in the hotels garden where many of the vegetables, fruit, herbs and salads we had came directly from the gardens. Speaking of food, again, wow! Breakfast was both a buffet and Ala Carte and where anything from a good choice of cereals, juices, fruit, freshly made muffins and pastries, pancakes and beautifully cooked eggs and omelettes were always available. Lunch also had an extensive a la carte menu and included salads, my favourite, a wonderful jerk chicken wrap, soups and so much more. If that wasn't enough, you then had the dinner menu which was always varied and interesting but if you could stomach it, was 5 courses, always including a delicious home made sorbet, soups and a choice of meat and fish and if you still had room, a good choice of delicious deserts. We had 2 spa treatments which again were excellent in a beautiful relaxing setting and on the rare day where I felt energetic, beach volleyball was organised and participated in by Fabian. Musical entertainment was provided on most nights but with the hotel only being around half full, it was difficult to really appreciate the effort each performer went to in order to generate an atmosphere as most guests were simply happy to have dinner and then retire to the bar or their rooms. Because it was a very special occasion for my wife and I, I had arranged with the hotel a surprise romantic dinner on the beach which was nothing short of spectacular, with fantastic service provided by Ron and again Fabian in the most wonderful of settings. I could go on and on about so many aspects of this fantastic hotel. In summary though, if you like small boutique luxury hotels, meticulously kept and well run, this will take some beating and I cannot thank Janelle, Fabian and ALL the staff for making this a very very special holiday for my wife and I.
