Table games not great. Friendly enough staff, but not being able to touch your own cards absolutely ruins the fun. Also recent changes about not being able to be grandfathered in when limits change cleared our table pretty much instantly. Not a great experience.

Always enjoy River City My room was great. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the bed and shower. My non-smoking room did smell a little like smoke. I have had this issue here before and was told it's because I was a floor above the smoking rooms. Maybe inquire about that at check in if this is something that will bother you. The casino is large but was very crowded on the weekend. It was hard to get a drink. Had a good time though. Most people park in the parking garage, but I find the surface parking right next to it easier to navigate. Overall great property. Will return.

No value for money There was no main hotel entrance, and no valet or bellman services. You had to park your car in a garage, then borrow a bellman cart and move your luggage yourself, while paying top dollar for the room.

Great Hotel - HORRENDOUS CASINO The hotel rooms are great, the hotel staff is great. The restaurants had some hours open issues but great food and choices. The reason for the 3 star is the CASINO. It is one of the worst we have ever experienced. If you like slots you are good to go. However, if you like table games, the management of those is horrendous - dealers were left standing at empty tables while the few open tables had people lined up. They will not allow you to touch the cards at ALL, claiming it is a MO thing, it is not as other casinos in MO allowed touching the cards. The pit bosses, cashier cage, and the staff were the most unfriendly I have ever experienced. The dealers looked miserable -as I am sure that is in part to not allowing tipping through playing. It was like night and day you walked from hotel/restaurants (friendly) to casino (most unfriendly).
