Great place to stay in St. Louis Grat location in a fun part of town. Many dining options right outside the door. Rooms are comfortably furnished. Liked the space related memorabilia in the lobby area. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking just behind the hotel.

Robbed by moonrise If you like being robbed, threatened, and then having your reservation changed, the Moonrise is your place. My wife and I booked the Moonrise because their website says they have a car charger on site. It is not free, as it says on the website. They’ll charge you 20$ for valet, tell you this isn’t a bit deal, and then offer a condo’s charger three buildings down as a workaround. The valets are threatening, the AG is threatening and unhelpful, and when you’re unhappy with being treated as such, they’ll charge you for a no-show when you were there and were so poorly treated that you didn’t feel safe leaving your car at the hotel and staying there. If there’s anywhere else you can stay, stay there instead. This place isn’t a place to stay in St Louis ever.

Awful Our experience on 8/31/24 was horrific. We booked the hotel for the electric car charger. When we arrived, a non-electric car was parked there in the charging space, and when we asked, we were told we had to valet and pay to use the charger. The attendant was awfully rude, as was the “AG.“ We were in town to visit my dying mother. The AG told us we could go stay in an Airbnb down the street. He was rude, sardonic, and condescending, exacerbating an already traumatic time. It was awful, and we left absolutely shaken and upset.

Unsatisfactory Experience-Car Security Issue I stayed at the Moonrise Hotel for three nights in March 2024, primarily for its advertised parking amenity. However, my experience with the hotel's security and service was extremely disappointing. On the second day, my car's window was broken while parked in the hotel's lot. The police informed me that the window was broken as someone tried to get into the car. No one from the hotel informed me, and my car remained unattended with a broken window all day. When I discovered the damage in the evening, the staff said nothing could be done until the next morning when the manager would be available. The receptionist's indifferent attitude added to my frustration. That night, I couldn't sleep due to security concerns. Although assured there would be a security guard in the parking lot until 7 AM, no guard was there when I checked at 6:20 AM. The next morning, I requested an original Toyota window replacement. The manager promised this but later said he couldn't find a store to tint the window that day and might find one the next day. Additionally, the replacement windows were not Toyota brand nor tinted like my other windows. He insisted I pay for another night if I wanted to stay longer. I googled window tinting services and found a local store that could do it immediately. When it was done at 6 PM, I didn't feel safe driving home alone for 10 hours. The manager, unavailable after 4 PM, meant I had to meet him the next morning with the receipt. So, I paid for another night at another hotel as I didn't feel safe staying at Moonrise. The manager agreed and promised reimbursement for the tinting. The next morning, the manager was unavailable, and I was asked to email the receipt. Despite multiple calls and emails, I haven't received any reimbursement. This experience has reduced my car's resale value due to the non-original window and caused significant inconvenience and expenses. The hotel's lack of responsibility and poor customer service were unacceptable. I will not return to Moonrise Hotel on future visits to St. Louis and cannot recommend it to others.
