Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront St. Petersburg Warning for Families Considering Hilton Bayfront St. Petersburg, FL 07/24/2024 BEWARE! BED BUGS! DO NOT BOOK AT THIS LOCATION! I recently stayed at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront from July 24-26, 2024, and had a deeply disappointing experience. Despite Hilton's reputation for quality, our stay was marred by several serious issues. Upon arrival, our room smelled moldy, the bed sheets were damp, and the overall condition was rundown. We tried to make the best of it, but things quickly got worse when we discovered a bed bug in our room. Horrified, we immediately contacted the front desk. The manager on duty offered to move us to another room, but we were too mortified to stay and decided to leave. I requested a refund, but was told to contact another manager. I did so and eventually received a response stating that an inspection found no infestations and that our reservation was checked out without any associated fees. However, this response failed to address the severity of our experience or provide any meaningful resolution. The lack of empathy and the presence of bed bugs in our room are unacceptable. This incident not only caused significant discomfort but also posed a health risk. Hilton's failure to properly address our concerns and provide adequate compensation has left me highly dissatisfied. I can no longer trust Hilton Hotels for my accommodation needs and urge potential guests to reconsider before booking at this location. My experience was far from the standard I expected from Hilton, and I hope management takes immediate action to improve their service and address these serious issues.

Horrible front desk Front desk staff, specifically Alex who was a total jerk, was unprofessional and inattentive. The hotel is no where near the bayfront. Overpriced and overrated. Breakfast Buffet wasn’t quality and very few items. I will not be staying at this property for my next visit to StPete.

Not a Good First Impression We stayed here for three nights last week and I would describe the quality of this hotel as adequate. My biggest disappointment was that the hotel wanted to charge a $50 fee to allow us into our room 90 minutes early. I was traveling with a Hilton Honors silver member so they offered to lower the fee to $25. I had not been in the hotel for 5 minutes and they wanted to charge an extra for a room that would sit vacant until 4pm check-in. We declined. Trying to extract extra fees like this makes me unable to recommend this hotel to a friend -- a very bad first impression.

Payment complaints The hotel was fine but what is with this no cash policy at the restaurants and bar? I ordered two drinks, I tried to pay with cash refused so I had to pay with a credit card after I paid I get a receipt for one beer and one glass of wine my bill was just under $60 . I complained about the No cash policy and as usual if fell on deaf ears, no one cared ! My wife and I travel quite a bit and stay at Hilton hotels ….. my complaint is with these stupid no cash policies they and others have in place. So…. No more Hilton for us ! I never complain but this policy rubs me the wrong way !

The worst Hotel Horrible experience, front desk staff has no customer service etiquettes. My brother booked two rooms and was paying for it so it was under his credit card which he pre paid for rooms already but the front desk staff would not let us check in unless he was present with his ID. He was visiting here to find some investment properties as he is a doctor and a successful businessman and since I was here to help him locate some property being a real estate broker myself. I offered my credit card for them to have it on file so we can check in but they said I have to wait until he was here but due to delayed flight, he was not going to land until 9pm and the staff expected us to wait till 9pm to have access to our room. When I asked to cancel the reservation, they refused to do that as well and not willing to cancel with refund back on the credit card. We can’t check in and we can’t cancel either. I told the staff that I have no reason to wait till 9pm … either refund or allow us in the room and once he gets here will bring the ID for their satisfaction. We were treated like third class people being South Asian, whoever the owner maybe of this location but my brother is a hotelier in Oklahoma and Texas and this type of treatment was an abuse and I will never get over it. We got there around 2pm to have the access if possible but willing to wait till 4pm as Check in time was 4pm and they told us to wait till 9pm to check in and that was not acceptable ! I will write a negative review anywhere on any website so people could find another location to book a room as this is not the location as the address sounds … no where near the water, just a basic 2.5 star hotel with nothing but poor attitude to serve ! Too many hotels out there, never again would think of staying in this hotel !!
