Underwhelming hotel I booked this hotel solely based on the reviews, and I wish they had been truthful. The hotel is odd. The front desk staff is kind. The pool is tiny and the cushions were all dirty. The outdoor bar smells of wet bar rags. The hallway to the rooms smelt like a combination of mold and incense (although I couldn’t find any). The room itself had a strong smell of mold. The bathroom was the size of a closet. It was loud because the doors don’t have a strong seal, you can see light around 2 of the 4 sides. The locks are older versions that can easily be hacked (key card with chip). All in all I won’t book again.

Anniversary getaway This is a very adorable and well-kept unique hotel. It seems very old and charming. Our room was well decorated and very comfortable bed. The insulation between room seems really good. Things were quiet and peaceful. The only thing we found strange was the room always felt damp, no matter what setting we had the air conditioner on it felt so wet in there. Even our pills stuck together in our medicine bottle. And when we came home even our clean clothes, had to be thrown in the dryer to dry out, so I’m not sure what was up with the humidity situation. We’ve lived in Florida 27 years and we’ve never had this happen before. Besides that the restaurant was very, very nice. We ate breakfast and lunch there. Both meals were good. They have a fabulous dessert bar that changes throughout the day as items are sold out. We did not have any ourselves, but everything looked delicious. The pool is a very popular attraction. When we pulled up on Sunday afternoon, it sounded like a nightclub party. It was very loud but they cut off the music. I think around 5:30 and the rest of the evening was quiet. We did enjoy our stay here. It was very nice and I would recommend it.

Above and Beyond expectations The check in process was easy and the staff were so friendly. We were there celebrating two birthdays. They surprised us by upgrading our room, giving us a cabana by the pool, and leaving a bottle of champagne in our room. They were exceptional and made our stay extra lovely. Thank you, Hollander Hotel!! A beautiful place!!!

Wonderful stay, but the beds are very hard. My husband and I visited the Hollander House on our trip to watch a Ray’s game. We really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was very friendly and offered us free water for our entire stay. The Tap Room was so yummy for breakfast. We stayed in a King Suite room and were very pleased with the size of the room, the decor, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. This is such a cute hotel. Our air conditioner was ice cold which was awesome in the June heat. My only complaint is that the bed was so hard. Neither my husband nor my self slept well at all. Which stinks because this place was awesome except that very important part.
